Actually I think Kap had just been out of the news a little too long for his or Nike’s comfort

I’m pretty sure Nike had zero idea this was coming...

If you have an Afro you need to follow instructions and beholden to the man

If you have a Cowboy hat and don't follow instructions you're a hero
See: Cliven Bundy
Curious to find out why you think Bundy is a hero. :?

No, generally speaking they don’t.

But Libertarians run the gamut so I’m sure you can find one that is mad, Reek

I’m sure there are some who call themselves “libertarians” who have a problem with it

It is a great example of the overly sensitive & silly cupcakes on the right.
Kaepernick started this by sitting on the bench. It's difficult to transition easily to respectful kneeling at that point.

Yeah that's bad. Though I GUESS one could say they're at least being consistent since there's been so much objection to the battle flag of the Army of Northern Virginia.

That was a Confederate Civil War flag, John. A flag of a country that doesn't even exist.

The flag on the shoes was the actual flag of the United States when it consisted of just 13 states. It has long been recognized as a symbol of the American Revolution. So there's a bit of a difference. But of course not to SJWs who hate America because of America's history.

However, you cannot associate the Ross flag with slavery without also associating every US flag up until 1865 with slavery. And then you must also associate the 50 star flag with Jim Crow.

Good for Kap - he knows how to get himself into the limelight. But the logic has an absurd endpoint.

I agree. That's why I've always thought it is a bit much to get all in a was about the battle flag of the Army of Northern Virginia.

If Kap were talking about how the federal government is constitutionally derelict and illegitimate and did what Bundy did mostly liberal white people would hate him. It's the how and why that cause people to not like him, not the who.

But don't mistake that for me caring about Nike's "we're down with da struggle, yo" campaign. The real issue here is the whole "fvck da poe-leece" thing when cops are the only thing keeping ghettos from turning into Somalia. I'm not going to pretend otherwise just to be woke.

It might take more death and destruction before people realize neutering police and getting rid of "racist" police certification exams is not smart.
