Should give the Democrats just enough rope to hang themselves for the 2020 Presidential race. All they'll do is disrupt and delay for two years and throw their fits. They can't seem to put together a cohesive message to move the country forward other than, "Trump is a big meanie!"
And what exactly are Republicans hanging their hat on?

I just laugh at JSO and his "demographics" argument. These people aren't robots, for Christs' sake. They're waking up to the bullshit that's been spewed by the left for 50 years...it's happening, whether people like JSO want to admit it or not. And here's a newsflash for you, JSO: It doesn't take much of a swing...not even remotely close to a majority...of EITHER minority and donks are ****. For the next several elections. ****.
We'll see. I predict that when you see the exit polling after this election it will say that Blacks, Latinos, and other non Whites voted by overwhelming majorities for Democrats.

The latest probability sampling poll I see at the RCP site for the generic Congressional ballot is the NPR/Marist poll covering 10/21 - 23. It's got Blacks saying they'll vote Democrat by 84% to 8% and Latinos saying they'll vote Democrat by 66% to 24%.

The handwriting is on the wall for Republicans. And OBTW college educated Whites said that they'd vote for Democrats by 50% to 41%. That group has historically voted Republican.
You're assuming Team Brown and black actually vote in midterms.

The fact that Trump is making traction within those demographics should concern you and your fellow leftists a lot. Turns out, it takes more than "orange man bad" to get people exited about whatever it is donks are running on this midterm.

RCP has conks picking up 3 Senate seats and donks picking up 25 for a 5 seat lead in the House. I'm going with those numbers.

I will show you how stupid that article is just by referring to this statement:
In 2016, an astounding 29 percent of Latinos voted for Trump.
That's not astounding at all. Romney got 27%. McCain got 31%. G.W. Bush got 44%. Trump's performance among Latino's was not remarkable at all.

If you think Trump made significant progress among non Whites in getting elected or has made significant progress among non Whites now you are kidding yourself.

I don't know why people find it necessary to lie to themselves. Ok. Trump won. Great. But why the need to kid yourself into thinking Latinos are suddenly changing the way in which the overwhelming majority of them vote? They're not.

There were even better quotes in that article that really stuck out...but this is a JSO NPC thread so pointing them out would be a total waste of time. :coffee:

Like I've said for months, the Dems will win the House, and somewhat unexpectedly for a midterm for a first-term President, his party may actually increase its hold on the Senate.

That tells me that people are generally OK with him being an asshole as long as they're prosperous and safe. Not everyone in America is a snowflake who chooses to be miserable.

Yep, like I said, it looks like a Rep increase in the Senate and a Dem increase in the House. No surprise, other than the incumbent party actually gaining in one of the Chambers during a first term midterm. That'd be a bit of an unexpected victory for Trump.

I'm glad that you agree with me that next Tuesday's vote is a referendum on Donald J. Trump. I'm not calling it one way or another.....been there, done that. :thumb:

It looks like the referendum will be mixed. Very typical for a first term midterm. It looks like Trump will fare far better than Obama did in 2010, when the Democrats lost 6 Senate seats and 63 House seats.

There's your baseline. That was a referendum. :thumb:

Do you agree with me that we (you, me, President Trump) will accept the results of next Tuesday's election? I will. Will you? Will President Trump? I want an answer from you know before the results are known. Do you have the balls to admit that you will accept the results?

No reason to get worked up. I just want plain & clear language from you so you are on record regarding next Tuesday's vote. A simple yes or no would have sufficed.

Depends by how much the Dems win it by? Five or ten seats in the house isn't really anything to write home about, especially if they give up some in the Senate. I see it more as a wash in the long run. This election is just like a drag car in the burnout box, there is a bunch of smoke but the real race is yet to come.
