I'm surprised Booker didn't have more. He came off as a decent guy there. Kudos to him.

Hahah. Feinstein's handlers are scrambling to get a new script in front of her on the leak questions.

Such a bumbling old lady.

This might sound wild, but this wouldn't be the first time we'd investigate stuff like this.

We have the experience, personnel, and tools to do it.
You’ve finally said something correct. NOW, if only the Dems hasn’t dragged their feet and started this back in July instead of sitting on it and making the Republicans look like the ones that are obstructing.

Yet, alas, they have their thumbs up their asses.

He realizes that their charade didn't work. He's more concerned about 2020, and looking like even more of a dick than normal.

Don't worry. Kamala still has one last chance to speak about the War on Wimmin.

Once again, Facebook's biggest purchaser of anti-Kavanaugh advertisements takes the spotlight! Let the hate flow through you, Kamala!

Kamala had nothing. I thought she might actually have something, but nope.

So sad.

Kamala sexually assaulted me. I’ll be making a FULL report next week. And I’m not afraid to travel.

So at the end of the day, when McConnell corners Flake and asks him how he'll vote, what will be the answer?

I read through all the posts from the hearing and I agree Trip could never be convinced regardless of any evidence. But I thought it was weird you weren't also calling out the people who keep saying this is all fake and Kavanaugh is innocent.

Aren't both sides digging their heels in pretty equally?

For me, I don't know if he did it or not. So I'm not forming any opinions on it either way.

I have no idea what happened. Anyone who says they do, is a lunatic.
Now this can be argued in a legal sense. Maybe someone has an edge there, but hell if I know who. One thing for sure, she needs more help in her argument, but I don't think anyone can help her.

Go back and read.

I’ve said plenty on here that we don’t know the truth and really aren’t in any position to judge.

I’ve said both sides are ridiculous. This wasn’t meant for party faithful.

I was wondering the same thing. Dr Ford doesn’t know where it occurred, or when it occurred. And it’s 35 yrs later so there isn’t any physical evidence.

The investigation would be what? Taking signed statements? That’s been done.

Meh. Let's face it. Who would do a better job in an investigation, the FBI or the Committee staff? Who is better equipped? Who is better trained? The problem here is that if Mark Judge has nothing to say, then there is no way to find Kavanaugh guilty. Especially since she didn't say anything to anyone for many years.

So, I asked earlier if they know where this house is and who owned it/lived there. Was that ever answered?
Did she say how long the attack took place?
Did she say how she got home?

I didn't see it all, just wondering.

It's silly season for the Dems (and Treep) and the only cure is the EFF BEE EYE!

Except it's a trap- a ploy to drag this out and get us closer and closer to the midterms.

Unless Ford and her attorneys have hidden some actual evidence up their sleeves, there is very little for the FBI to do except interview Kavanaugh and Ford, as well as the four people (or was it 3?) who Ford says were there - people who have already said they have no memory of this incident. And if they are lying, there is nothing the FBI can do about it... because the FBI has no criminal jurisdiction in this.

So we wind up with an FBI investigation that takes about a week, except Ford's attorneys will do the same thing they did with the committee - make demands and place conditions on Ford talking to FBI investigators (that's at least 2 weeks right there).

Then the FBI comes back with a report that Ford's version cannot be supported with actual evidence, then new "witnesses" will come out of the bushes with "new" information on the incident, and the FBI of course will have to interview them as well, because how can you say you investigated if you didn't talk to EVERYBODY with information? Played correctly, it will drag right up to the midterms (so why did Feinstein sit on this again? Hm)

This is a silly trap that any fool can see, but the Senate (both sides) isn't playing to voters like Treep or AZ... they are playing to the independents, the fence sitters, and the majority might want to show that they gave Ford every opportunity to prove her case, which would involve having the FBI take a look at it

I think the bottom line from today for the bigger picture is that Republicans lost more ground with respect to females. I think Graham's rant was particularly damaging to them in that regard. Yes, he was referencing Democrats. But there's no way that's not going to be widely perceived and represented as an attack on the accuser as well as a stereotypical "good ole boys club" response to the situation.

I think it was the kind of performance that fired up the base and made them say "yeah." But in the larger context of the overall population I think it hurt the Republicans.
