Redundancy alert! This is the chamber of the house that routinely has folks well into their 80's, sometimes 90's, and have been there for 40-50 years. Heck, Leahy has been a Senator since just after Nixon resigned. The Senate has always been a mess.

All the Senators can suck their dicks afterwards.
Yes. Big flaw in the formatting, but they're following traditional format. I doubt Democrats would accommodate Grassley's request for a continuous format.

Agree. I am half expecting puppets to come out next.

God damn it! Stop talking about Slower Delaware.

It sucks here. Stay away.

Trying to be as unbiased as possible, but Republicans are looking like idiots in this thing. I actually thought they had some momentum going into this thing, but jesus...

I'm curious to see if Kavanaugh is put under investigation too because it sure feels like Dr. Ford is.

The morning is supposed to be an investigation of her. She's the one who made all of this up.

Chucky finally addresses the elephant in the room: why wait two months and spring this the week before the vote?

Dr. Ford is performing unbelievably well under the circumstances. She's impressed the hell out of me.

The GOP is floundering and failing spectacularly.

There were those pesky 45 days between the letter and her outing where the Congress could’ve been investigating...but don’t let the partisan politics get in the way of your arguement

The biggest reveal in all of this is the failure of our government and our representatives based on political ideology. We all know this happens but tens of millions of people (both Ds & Rs) that don't normally witness this firsthand are watching this pathetic shithow.

How so? Aside from the grand standing, it’s a simple back and forth- that is when it occurs.

I agree it is pathetic, but doubt they really care. They are still going to vote they way they always voted.

∞∞∞ wrote:So I'm curious, but what do people think - especially from those who doubt her- of the fact that she contacted Congress when Kavanaugh was put on the list of finalists, before he became the nominee?

BTW, you can listen live here if you don't have access to television:
https://www.c-span.org/networks/?channel=radio
Because Kavanaugh's name was on Trump's list of 25 potential SCOTUS nominees.

Former Obama flunkie and total ass clown, Brian Fallon of "Demand Justice" has made it his life goal to stop and block any Trump SCOTUS pick. He has been doing everything he can to build dossiers on everyone who was placed on Trump's list of potential nominees. I have little doubt that Ford and the others are all a part of that operation. :coffee:

The formatting and Grassley's unnecessary interruptions.

What's the point of having a prosecutor if you don't let them do their thing?

Democrats are being personal to her while it looks like a terribly run trial on the GOP's side. Even Fox News is saying she's looking like a credible witness.

Dude just stop. Even some Republicans are calling this a disaster for them.

Let's see what happens after the break, but she's coming off as extremely likable and credible so far.

Kavanaugh deserves his voice too, but damn.

 As usual, you're hearing who you want to hear. I'm hearing what I want to hear. That's the state of a divided nation and for-profit news media.

At the end of the day, Democrats will grumble. Republicans will narrowly confirm. Democrats will pound their fists, cry, and resist.

As Barrack said, elections have consequences.
