I notice that most of those scold right-leaning positions, though.

How about:
It's possible to be concerned about illegal immigration and that doesn't make you a "xenophobe", a "racist", or a "bigot".
It's possible to be concerned about abortion and support more availability of birth control and without being a religious zealot.
It's possible to be supportive of gender equality without agreeing with the warped definitions of equality given by today's feminists.

you'll want to tighten those up a bit ^ they don't have a nice ring to them
