Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe said, in referring to the White Nationalists, "You came here today to hurt people."

I don't think that's true. I think if they'd have been left alone nobody would've been hurt. Yes, the White Nationalists clearly were prepared for trouble. But I think that's understandable. I think it was reasonable for them to anticipate that they would be confronted.

But they didn't go there "to hurt people." They went there to protest the removal of a statue and maybe make a statement. They were violently confronted and they violently responded.

Now, I'm sure they expected to be violently confronted and they bear some responsibility for doing what they did anyway. But it doesn't change the fact that the counter protesters were violent or excuse absolving the counter protesters of any responsibility for what happened.

Yep if these yahoos hadn't been confronted they simply would have marched around, waving their Nazi and Confederate flags, hootin and hollerin, rantin and raving, and then would have left. They weren't there to smash windows or start fires like antifa in places like Berkely. They were there to assault people if confronted. They were hoping to for a confrontation from the left, and that's exactly what the left did.

The left can't tolerate free speech that they disagree with. See all the conservative speakers that have been shut down on college campuses and elsewhere. They'll even use violence to stop it- see Berkley where the leftist students and Antifa were assaulting people, smashing windows, and starting fires, causing 6 figures in damage to Berkeley's campus, all in order to stop Mili Yiannopolous from speaking, which they did. Same thing with the white nationalists. No matter how repugnant their free speech is, it is still FREE SPEECH, and the liberal left won't tolerate it, and they'll use violence to try to stop like in Charlottesville. Even the Wa Po said on Friday night it was the counter protestors who 1st attacked the white nationalists with chemical irritants. And once the violence starts, the white nationalists are more than willing to take part. To them its game on.

There would have been no riots without:
-Libtards trying to whitewash history by taking down every confederate statue.
-The leftist protestors confronting the racist white nationalists.
