If you want that so bad, maybe you should join them..... Most BSC fans are interested in improving the competion at the top and programs that can draw, not adding more programs to the bottom half as was done with UNC and SacSt. Although those did help displace Weber from the bottom half... SUU has averaged one FCS win a year over the last four and draw poorly. Real attributes most conferences are looking for.

Well just so you know yes we have been bad in the past but i think i can garuntee that we will be able to beat NAU or EWU this year. We are getting better after a few rough years so i would watch out for my thunderbirds in the near future. We did nearly beat montana at missoula in 2007 before some unlucky tunrnovers cost us it.

If Weber didnt have the team they have now, I would usually agree with that statement, but I think Weber will win the sky this year.

When Weber comes out of Laramie with a win and a close loss at Colorado State, Weber will play against Idaho State in front of 9,000+, and if they contiunue to win those numbers will grow.

Turnovers are always "unlucky."

"Nearly beat" is a pretty liberal description. You were down two touchdowns early, never got close and lost by 20. These OOC season openers are to get as many players into the game as possible, not to run up the score on a weaker opponent. But here are some facts regarding the games the last two years to see if that improvement you keep claiming is evident:

2008: UM 46; SUU 10 (UM QB Berquist was taken out early in 2nd qtr; backup Selle threw 4 TDs
1st downs: 24; 9
tot. yds.: 497; 204
turnovers: 2; 3
UM was not sharp early in 2008; became much better late in the season; SUU was awful in this game.

2007: UM 37; SUU 17
1st downs: 23; 15
tot. yds.: 370; 304
turnovers: 0; 3
UM showed no killer instinct in this game, but the outcome was never in question.

I wonder if he was thinking of the Mud Bowl in Bozeman in 2007?

Still early, but I think I've got Sac State at #4 behind the Bobcats.
I currently have Sac State #5 behind NAU, but ahead of EWU. Could all change by August, tho. I'm still working on it.

How ever many scenarios I try, I cannot get Weber to win in Missoula this year. That said, I like your top three. I don't think you're giving Sac State much credit, and Portland State will feel the loss of Davis retiring. The Vikings may be hard pressed to hold off ISU for the cellar spot.

Everything's still up in the air as far as PSU is concerned. Still no replacement named for Davis. Will it be in-house? What ever it is, the Run and Shoot will be modified. Whether it's run by Glanville himself or the new coach remains to be seen. We finally have plenty good athletes - just hope they don't screw it up with a new offense. Glanville can't be that stupid, can he?

Weber is supposed to come in to the ISU game 0-2. Why would they be expected to beat 2 FBS teams? Last year - 0-2 vs FBS.

You are correct, WSU will be playing in Missoula for the 3rd year in a row. Maybe next year can make 4 straight!

Your right, this isnt last years team, this is this years team, Last year's team won a share of the title, this years team is bringing the whole thing back to Ogden.

With 8 of your top 12 tacklers from last year gone? That's pretty unlikely, especially since Weber has to win in Missoula & Cheney. Don't get me wrong, I think Weber will make the playoffs (and beat Wyoming, since I think Wyoming will be utterly terrible this year), but Montana's the deserved favorite to win the conference.

I think Weber will go 8-3. That's good, though, because 8-3 should get them in the playoffs for sure with that schedule.

I agree, Montana is the favorite this year and just about every year, but nothing wrong with hoping eh?

I honestly think that if Weber has the chance to do it, this is the year, Weber always has a decent defense, Im not worried there, McBride said it was the best defensive class he has ever had at Weber, and with our powerful returning offense, Weber can do it, I believe they can and will win in Missoula this year.

I CANT WAIT FOR FOOTBALL TO START.
