Yes price per square foot varies with location and other factors but the national average cost per square foot over time does tell you something. It tells you that, when adjusted for house size, the average inflation adjusted cost of a house hasn't changed much since 1973. In inflation adjusted terms the average cost of a house of some given size hasn't changed much since 1973.
You just basically said that since diesel engines can run 1 million miles (if you change the oil regularly), you should be able to drive a diesel powered pickup truck to the moon.

No, what I'm saying is pretty straightforward and should make sense to anybody. When you are comparing the average cost of a house in 1973 to the average cost of a house in, say, 2015, you have to take into account the fact that the average square footage of a new house in 1973 was 1,660 square feet while that of a new house in 2015 was 2,687 square feet.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

I think he (and she) was talking about this:

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/01/12/us/p ... tions.html
In its final days, the Obama administration has expanded the power of the National Security Agency to share globally intercepted personal communications with the government’s 16 other intelligence agencies before applying privacy protections.
Hmm. That aint fishy.

Ok. Then, argue about that.

But, Trump's claim that Obama wiretapped him is complete bullshit. Stop trying to play Spicer's role.

Spicer obfuscates and moves the goalposts

while you and the media and Congressional dems split meaningless hairs

meanwhile any real wrongdoing or threats from Russia largely go by without an appropriate response from us

"I was wiretapped by Obama" is the "It was because of a movie" of the left

The only people singing off the correct sheet of music on this issue are Lindsey Graham and a few others (including a Blue Dog or two)

Isn't that the point? Not much to be concerned about?

Trump Abruptly Ends CBS Interview After Wiretap Question

President Trump cut short an interview with the host of “Face the Nation” on CBS after being asked about his unsubstantiated claim that President Barack Obama wiretapped his campaign, saying he was entitled to his own “opinions.”

Mr. Trump, speaking during a prerecorded interview in the Oval Office with John Dickerson that was broadcast on Monday on “CBS This Morning,” grew agitated as the host pressed him on a number of issues, and he reached his breaking point when Mr. Dickerson asked about his bombshell Twitter post from early March describing Mr. Obama as a “sick” man.

“You don’t have to ask me,” the president said, cutting off Mr. Dickerson in midsentence.

“Why not?” the host asked.

“Because I have my own opinions. You can have your own opinions,” Mr. Trump shot back.

With that, Mr. Trump terminated what had been an otherwise genial interview.

“O.K., it’s enough,” the president said.

To noone's surprise (except Trumpbart readers) Trump's DOJ confirms that there were no wiretaps in Trump Tower.
The Justice Department said in a court filing Friday evening that it has no evidence to support President Donald Trump's assertion in March that his predecessor, Barack Obama, wiretapped the phones in Trump Tower before last year's election.

"Both FBI and NSD confirm that they have no records related to wiretaps as described by the March 4, 2017 tweets," the department's motion reads. NSD refers to the department's national security division.

The motion came in response to a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit by a group pushing for government transparency, American Oversight.

On March 4, Trump tweeted: "Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my 'wires tapped' in Trump Tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!"

"How low has President Obama gone to tap my phones during the very sacred election process," Trump also tweeted. "This is Nixon/Watergate."

Then-FBI Director James Comey told Congress in March there was no evidence to support the contention that Trump Tower had been wiretapped. "We have no information to support those tweets," he said at a House intelligence committee hearing.

American Oversight said in a statement following the Justice Department's motion: "The FBI and Department of Justice have now sided with former Director Comey and confirmed in writing that President Trump lied when he tweeted the former President Obama 'wiretapped' him at Trump Tower."
The Washington Examiner first reported the department's motion.
