The percentage that think the penalty for apostasy should be the ol dirt nap is only slightly less than that

The reason the left likes Islam is that it also opposes Christianity, that unites them.

You have to forgive Kleanex and linke-minded Donkocks. He still has a picture of Farrakhan on his bureau with a little candle in front of it.

Nice thought but I think we have a very prominent example right now providing evidence that those principles are not in place. Buffoonery and lack of accountability for behavior appear to be in vogue. Seems to have worked pretty well.

Oh...c'mon...don't be such a poopy pants.

You've actually swayed my opinion quite a bit on this topic over the years. And like I said, the percentages don't really matter all that much. I think we can agree that the number of radicalized and violent Muslims is simply too many. That's a good starting point.

I do find it interesting that it in some places like, Turkey, the percentage of support is at 12%. Or in Pakistan where the percentage is 84, t they've elected female leaders. Or the largest Muslim country in the world, Indonesia where support is at 72% however women pretty much have the same rights as men.

I don't mention this to prove you're incorrect in this thread. Christ, I've agreed with a majority of the things you've said. These are just facts that should be an admissible part of the debate.

You and Sam have a tendency to shout down any dissenting views and dismiss any sincere questions. How Muslim/liberal of you....

And then Pakistanis kill those women, or they are under lock and key

And those women's rights in Indonesia pretty much only exist in Jakarta and a few other urban centers.

And Turkey is a very good (happening before our eyes) example of how a secular government can be co-opted almost overnight by this supposedly small minority

If you're going to use the apologist talking points on majority Muslim countries you need to use the whole picture

It's interesting that you say that...
Because nobody seems successful at getting the Imam and the majority of Muslim clerics
to back down even one iota - they collectively do not back away from that broad brush stroke

It's going to have to be an intellectual battle (obviously)
Because those in holy power would rather die than relent even an inch
It seems to be a faith where staunch fundamentalism is considered (not crazy) but the only proper stance

frankly it's amazing
In the bright light of all that we know about the world
and the advances in humanism globally
Islam is the shining beacon of resistance to what is...

Hyperbole. As a matter of fact I just posted in the "Cycling in Montana" thread. Take a look.

It would not have had to have been me who posted that thing about us having a very prominent example of not being accountable for behavior, etc. ANYBODY could post that and the same certain individual would instantly come to mind. It is what it is.

And, really, the situation we have with that might be a lot more of a threat to the well being of most of us than Islam is. Maybe not you because of your job and traveling the world a lot. But for those of us who just live day to day lives in the United States having something like what's going on right now going on could end up being a huge problem.

No, it most certainly isn't hyperbole - and nobody on this forum will disagree with the assumption I made

But I'm not skelly and it isn't important enough to me to waste my precious time to go back and link to the proof that Trump has caused some kind of OCD reaction in you

I bet you twitch and tic all over the goddamn place

Yes it is. The Statement "...it is literally all you talk about" is objectively false; and you can readily verify that by going to that Montana Cycling thread I just reference. A number of other ones too.

Had Chizz not posted what he did about people needing to own their behavior and stop apologizing for buffoonery. I probably wouldn't have even posted in this thread because everybody already knows that I think Islam is in and of itself a problem. But there's no way I could read a statement like that and not have You-Know-Who immediately come to mind.

I see

But you're talking about an almost monolithic left on the Islamic issue - a slow motion train wreck that is ongoing, but still preventable (barely)

And someone who continues to litigate for why people shouldn't vote for Donald Trump

Maybe I'm less inclined to see you as crazy as a sh1thouse rat - just a little bit

There's also the part where (nearly) everything you post about ISNT about Islam

The election is over. There is no way to change the past. But the systemic problem with the United States population that resulted in something as absurd as Donald Trump being elected President remains. Donald Trump's election is a symptom of a deeper problem that is...yes...ongoing.

If something doesn't change we won't have to worry about Islam because we will destroy ourselves from within. The set of population characteristics that led to the election of Donald Trump...including the insistence by 10s of millions upon voting for him in spite of his obvious pathological behaviors, dishonesty, and buffoonery...are a bigger threat to our well being as a nation than Islam is.
