Is this just coincidence, or is the dossier looking more and more accurate.

Russian state oil company Rosneft sold 19.5% stake to "undisclosed parties."

http://mobile.reuters.com/article/amp/idUSKBN1582OH

Dossier claimed before the sale:
A dossier with unverified claims about President Donald Trump's ties to Russia contained allegations that Igor Sechin, the CEO of Russia's state oil company, offered former Trump ally Carter Page and his associates the brokerage of a 19% stake in the company in exchange for the lifting of US sanctions on Russia
http://www.businessinsider.com/carter-p ... ier-2017-1

Maybe 19% is just a coincidence... but.... :coffee:

BTW, how is civil asset forfeiture constitutional?
A Pennsylvania lawmaker had strong words for Donald Trump after the president reportedly joked he would "destroy" a Texas lawmaker's career.

In a Facebook post, state Sen. Daylin Leach, D-Montgomery, linked to a Politico story about Trump's meeting with several county sheriffs, including Chester County Sheriff Carolyn Bunny Welsh. According to the website, Harold Eavenson, sheriff of Rockwall County, Texas, brought up the issue of civil asset forfeiture.

It isn't.

But it isn't about race or gender or the children so the Democrats don't give a fvck. That's why they blew their load opposing a woman for DoEd because children will FVCKING DIE HORRIBLE DEATHS because school vouchers - when in reality they are in the tank for the NEA - yet another public sector union that fosters less work, more corruption, and bankrupting local governments

And they spent much less time sh1tting all over Sessions because of unsubstantiated (and sometimes debunked) racial innuendo, while saying ZERO about the fact that he is all in for asset forfeiture and a few other things they should be able to get behind ... but they don't. Because they are stuck on stupid (I.e.: identity politics)

You think people were against DeVos simply because of vouchers?

It was akin to the Harriet Miers SCOTUS nomination. There was absolutely no reason she should hold the post.

I'd have taken DeVos getting confirmed over Sessions. The Education Secretary doesn't have near the power of the Attorney General.

But, they had no Republicans on their side. With DeVos, there were at least two Republicans willing to vote against her.

Sessions had no chance of not getting confirmed. So, they definitely put more effort into blocking DeVos's nomination... but, only because that seemed more likely.

There was one reason she should hold the post...and a VERY good one. SOMEBODY needs to look at our country's education system from the outside. It needs to change...in very big ways, and no one on the inside is willing to do anything but paint some lipstick on the existing garbage we call an education system.

So yeah, there was a very good reason to try anyone, including DeVos, who has an outsider's view so that there can be REAL changes. You can argue that someone else might have been a better pick, but then again, no one who opposes the entrenched broken education system would have been accepted by the Dems.

Frankly, I don't think anyone can do more damage to our education system than has already been done lately. Delaware got what, $100 effing million in Race to the Top money and we went through it like it was water. Anyone see improvements in DE's education? Big money...small state...and it was wasted. Shocking, I tell you.

If she doesn't change things for the better, kick her arse to the curb. But, give her a shot at initiating some real change.

Their priorities are fvcked up, Skelly.

We'll just take as an assumption that the DoEd even needs to exist at all (I don't hold that opinion) ....

There is only ONE public sector union in periodic control of an executive branch agency, at that's the NEA. DoEd is their own personal vehicle for job security, and although both parties play at different games, the NEA is in ALL their pockets. The Democrats like it because it is the vehicle for every new intellectual fad like common Core, and the GOP likes it because it is a sop to Democrats when Republican Presidents want to throw them a bone in return for sign-off on various agenda items (think NCLB)

The NEA is howling about DeVos because she's one of those school choice heretics and that's a threat to the NEA. That translates into a lot of angst on the Hill for Dems and you had better believe that's the sole reason. The DoEd is otherwise largely ineffective (especially given the funding throughput) except for pushing anodyne policies that do nothing for the quality of primary and secondary education (the state of which has been in steady decline since the 1970s when it was established)

Sessions isn't a klukker but racism motivates the base - and that's why he's been attacked as some kind of closet David Duke who is going to institute literacy tests at the polls or something... rather than going after the true issues that nobody except the terminally sane care about- like the real loss of liberty through things like asset forfeiture

ore than seven years after angry anti-Obamacare town halls erupted across the country, raw emotions are boiling over again -- this time, as the Republican Party under President Donald Trump gears up to dismantle Barack Obama's legacy.
This is absolutely, IMO, good feedback. However, people have to realize that when they ask questions, they should shut up and listen to the response.

However, this guy, Image

says,
Mike Carlson, a 32-year-old student from Antioch, Tennessee, said that as an overweight man, he depended on Obamacare to stay alive.
"I have to have coverage to make sure I don't die. There are people now who have cancer that have that coverage, that have to have that coverage to make sure they don't die," Carlson said. "And you want to take away this coverage — and have nothing to replace it with! How can I trust you to do anything that's in our interest at all?"
WTF? Dude, it's not the gov'ts job to enable your poor dietary choices. Lose the weight, eat better and you'll save your life, as well as money.

I had the interesting perspective of sitting in the DoEd cafeteria (they're across the street) eating lunch on Tuesday during the Devos vote. The place was packed with everyone intently focused on the large screen showing the vote on CNN. There was a lot of intent muttering at each table. I was listening in mostly to the fat faggot sitting at the next table over. He was burning up. At first he was pleading for "just one more Republican to have a conscience", then after Pence cast the tiebreaker he was most irate, calling Devos "pure evil", then he mellowed and concluded later with "well, as long as she doesn't get rid of us".

I was quietly chortling.
