Washington has Fairchild AFB, McCord AFB, Fort Lewis, Bangor Trident Sub Base, Whidbey Naval Air Station, 3 national parks, and the Hanford Nuclear Reservation. Still 36th.

:coffee:
3 National Parks? That's all? SC has about 8 Wildlife refugees, 2 national forests, another 10 National Parks.

I've been to Whidbey, Bangor, Fairchild and McCord. Whidbey Island was an experience. I thought there was another USN base up there.

Lots of poor whites as well. I have more of a problem with government dependence than I do with government assistance.

Oh, we're counting national forest acreage and wildlife refuges too? How about BLM land? V

We don't need the Palouse or whatever Narnia lands they may have. We have the ACE Basin and Monkey Island.
Does WA have an island only inhabited with monkeys?

Isn't Virginia loaded with people that work for or have jobs directly and indirectly related to the Federal government? If there wasn't the proximity to D.C., would Virginia have the tax revenue that comes from their salaries?

It went up to 8.8% in Cheney. Sales tax is regressive. Like the minimum wage increase, it's just passed on to consumers.

Still I have to pay for your ferries and stadiums.... :ohno:

It does suck, though, that the feds finally threatened to withhold highway funds if we didn't institute a speed limit and an open container law. :ohno:
