-With SELA was just looking for someone to throw into the 24th spot. Yeah, SELA has a weak resume for a 7-4 if they win Sat @ Nichols to go 7-2 Southland- didn't beat any playoff team. But I only see 1 terrible loss- @ Lamar by 24 (unless you consider losing by 5 @ S UT a terrible loss). The other 2 losses were badly to Oklahoma and UCA..
-Montana didn't play a I-A and has 4 I-AA losses. They are 3-4 Big Sky, in 8th place out of 13 teams. I see if they win Sat they'll be in a 3 way tie for 5th..Looks like they'll be 1-2 vs playoff teams (the win over StFU) unless UNI upsets SDSU and gets in.

SELU was also blown out by Central Arkansas. Losing to Central Arkansas isn't bad, but any blowout loss to a non-FBS is bad. The Lions' loss to SUU is only kinda bad, but Montana did beat SUU by 23.

-Course if UNI upsets SDSU they would have a case at 6-5 with maybe the toughest schedule in the country.

I'm not sure that's really an upset. UNI's at home and they're currently favored by 4.5.

Wow, really. I just assumed since SDSU was 6-1 MVFC and knocked off NDSU in Fargo that SDSU would be favored.

ISUR also has a good argument with a 6-5 record. FBS win over Northwestern, and FCS wins over SDSU and WIU.

Only 4-4 in conference. Would be behind UNI in conference standings as UNI would be 5-3 and also have wins over SDSU and WIU.

It could be interesting to see how it works as the conference standings would be (projecting who *should* win with the UNI win over SDSU)

1. NDSU 10-1 (7-1)
2. SDSU 7-4 (6-2) - HEAD TO HEAD OVER YSU
3. YSU 8-3 (6-2)
4. UNI 6-5 (5-3)
5. Illinois State 6-5 (4-4) - HEAD TO HEAD OVER WIU
6. WIU 7-4 (4-4)

The rest don't matter.

Last year WIU got in at 6-5 because they technically finished third even with a worse overall record than UNI and SDSU:
1a. NDSU
1b. ISUr
3. WIU
4. UNI
5. SDSU

So it would be ironic if WIU got the short end this year because they technically finished 6th even with a better overall record OR if the committed jumped 2 MVFC teams to take the 6th place team...or if they cut it at 3 with YSU, NDSU and SDSU

Doesn't make sense

It was very obvious to most FCS fans last year, that they stacked one side of the bracket to keep 2 MVFC teams from playing in the Championship. Jacksonville State wasn't even the 2nd best team last year. UNI, Richmond and Illinois St among others could have beat them last year.
