No,
Yes. She has lied for a while. Said she would do it...stopped doing it...and had to be talked back into doing it...and only at her convenience.

Spin it all you want, but your wife lied. She may eventually follow through, but she had to be convinced by others to follow through with her word.

Bold statement...followed by not following through...making her initial statement a lie...and then had to be roped back in to make a politically expedient decision to go back to what she said.

Typical lying sack of nuts politician. You should relate well to her...just put a Hillary picture next to your bed.

Seriously.

JSO might be the biggest casualty of this election. I don't think I've seen a person lose what little credibility he had as quickly and completely as JSO has. He's been like an earthquake that derails a train that then falls off a cliff and lands on a ship and sinks it. His disaster has been that thorough and complete. :coffee:
GF for the win! :thumb:

There has never been such an emotional breakdown, one that throws out every value that a person said they had (and obviously LIED about).

Any post from JSO is now in shItsville. His credibility is now measured in Trump X 100 units.

Ok I woke up in the middle of the night and saw texts indicating she did it. She posted it publicly on Facebook; which took guts because she is a Realtor and could lose clients over it. Said she felt she ought to put it out in some say because she owes it to people who voted for her. Here's the text:
It is with heavy heart that I tender my resignation from the Louisiana
Republican State Central Committee, District (redacted).

In light of this electoral season I have come to believe the Republican Party has
lost its way. This is so, particularly in the case of our Presidential nominee,
Donald J. Trump. He may be the standard-bearer, but he does not represent
the values and beliefs I hold closest to my heart. I am dismayed by the
reluctance of the Republican Party to distance itself from a man who has not
only failed to exhibit the convictions that are central to conservatism, but
actively says, does and has beliefs that are contrary to conservatism.

I have been a Republican since I was eighteen years old. Ronald Reagan first
helped me form my political leanings and those leanings were pinned to deeper
beliefs that were rooted in and developed by Jesus’ teachings, my family’s
character and correction and my community’s standard. My decision to vacate
my seat and ultimately the party I have been a part of for forty years, has been a
very difficult one for me to come to terms with.

I deeply appreciate the opportunity to serve the Republican voters of my
district for the last 12 years and to serve on the Rules committee, but no matter
the result of the election tomorrow, I cannot abide the decision of the Party to
support the presidential nominee and therefore must withdraw as a member.

You've got it backwards. Nobody was trying to talk her into doing it. In fact most of the input she had was me telling her that maybe she ought to stay where she was at least until after the election to see if she could try to work to get her State Party apparatus back on track. I did that because I know she worked really hard to get elected initially. She obtained a list of every person registered Republican in our district and called each one. It was a lot of time. A lot of work. And she was very happy when she won the election.

This was very hard for her and I'm proud of her.

I don't think I ever had a value that would lead me to want to put a dangerously immature and unstable person into an important job like that.

What I'm showing is that I'm not going to support someone just because they have an "R" after their name. I've always voted Republican because I wanted to combat the influence of the Democratic Party. But I'm not going to do that regardless of HOW atrocious the Republican nominee is. I'm confident that my behavior in this instance gives me more rather than less credibility with rational people. It shows that I am not a partisan robot. I actually think critically about the Republican nominee even though my default position is to vote for whoever that is. I don't rationalize away critical faults in order to justify sticking to the default position. But I know Trump cultists aren't rational so I expect criticism from them.

You're letting your inner drama queen out for a walk again.

I think you're forgetting a couple of mitigating factors. Like Trump is simply to lazy too really fvck things up, he will have other interests than actually doing the job, that part he will leave to the dolt he selected as VP - who seems cut from the same religious cloth as you and your wife. This could finally be your chance to muck about in the Constitution with your fellow free loading evangelical types.

And I hear his old lady made some pretty hot fvck vids back in the day. Name another first lady who can say that. I don't see him taking more than an asswhuppin away from this election but as you can see, if he does pull it off it won't be, can't be, any worse than Cheney/Bush. And he'll probably be too bored to run a second time.

The big question is what color will he make the neon TRUMP sign on top of the White House.
You matter. Unless you multiply yourself by c squared. Then you energy.

Ahhh...yes, the religious whack jobs like JSO and his wife, people that ruined the Republican party, are now upset that the majority of the Republicans are sick and tired of the religious nuts steering the party into oblivion.

And, the majority of those people (all four of them) will still vote for Trump because of the Supreme Court. That proves they are smarter than JSO. :thumb:

Thanks, JSO...you've helped us understand exactly what an unprincipled flip-flop artist you are. :tothehand:

Good riddance. You can cuddle up to the Clinton folks who hate your guts and are taking away everything that you believe.

The funny part is...where are the lying Boobs Republicans going to go, politically? They won't be able to make their own party because no one wants to listen to their bullshit...and their shrinking numbers will no longer given them any pull. Maybe they will go the way of most religious folks when other people get fed up with the utter BS...they will leave America and sail to some new world that has ignorant people that will believe in their fairy tales. How about Mars?
Do you not realize that polls show the overwhelming majority of White Evangelical Christians say they are going to vote for Trump? See http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2016-el ... nk-n666146 for one commentary on that.

She's not following the herd. Neither is her pastor, BTW. In fact I think he's about to set himself up for getting a whole lot of grief because I think he's going to make his feelings known. I think he is in denial. I talked to him today to thank him for giving feedback to my wife and during the course of conversation it became clear he does not believe the media when they say stuff about White evangelical Christians supporting Trump. I think if he does speak out he's in for a rude awakening. We shall see.

My wife is not in denial about that though. She knows it's true. And it breaks her heart.

I have to give Obama credit for a line he spouted the other day. He asked, "You say you're the Party of family values and you nominate this guy?" It's a very good question and it's one the Republicans can't possibly have a good answer for because there isn't one.
Maybe if she leaves the party others who don't like her will return to the party?
She seems to be a "rino", a pretend right winger?
Btw, trump is doing pretty well without her@ 10 pm central.
