I'm holding out hope that she'll win Ohio. I still think the Democrats have a much better organization. Also, the polls leading up to the last Presidential election generally under predicted Democratic performance. If I had to bet I'd bet Trump wins Ohio but I certainly would not be shocked if HIllary does.

We'll see what happens. And if what happens is a Trump win it'll be a disaster for the United States. We'll have a totally unqualified and mentally ill individual in the nation's most important job.

Barack Obama has already proven that the job can be held by an incompetent without bringing on the end times and the same goes for whatever you claim Trump to be.

The upheaval in the Federal workforce alone makes me shiver with glee just thinking about a Trump presidency.

BTW still haven't heard from you on whether or not Clinton broke the law after I scolded you on your ignorance of the statute..... you tapping out on that one?

Ok, Ron Swanson, federal employee.

When. Is the last time you held a private sector job? :coffee:

Ok troll, I'll bite

When is the last time you did anything worthwhile? (Digging ditches and sucking cock for free don't count)

I've given CPR to people who lived, delivered a baby, comforted a child whose mother just died right in front of her, been shot at, shot back, had piss balloons dropped on my head, hit with a brick, a railroad tie, spit on, assaulted, had bones broken, pulled a drowning old woman out of a submerged car, knocked on hundreds of doors to deliver the news that a loved one is dead, buried tens of friends killed in the line of duty, talked down suicides off the bridge, watched suicides off the bridge, beat the crap out of a a wife beater (that statute of limitations has expired :) )

Intercepted narcotics shipments on the high seas, provided humanitarian assistance to hurricane/disaster victims

I've repatriated destitute mentally ill Americans overseas, visited them in prison, advocated for their better treatment, rescued a kidnapped mother and her three kids in a top tier security threat country, given a visa to the child of a US serviceman 40 years after the end of the Vietnam War, denied entry to thousands of intending immigrants with criminal backgrounds or multinational criminal organization ties.

But if you want to know which Federal employees I'm talking about, look no further than those who sit in a cube and create secret wait lists for veterans benefits, deny care, advocate for the expenditure of American blood and treasure in places with no strategic significance to America, enforce Federal rules enacted through executive fiat, argue for tax funded studies on the sexual morphology of African swallows, advocate for political candidates on taxpayer time, allow waste and fraud in the procurement process, steer their friends to lucrative government contracts, throw "leadership seminars" in Vegas, use their offices for personal gain, sell visas to the US, double dipping by "consulting" while on the government nickel, abuse their office by targeting people with objectionable politics, etc

So yeah, it isn't "ME", but those "OTHER" people

I see them EVERY day. The Federal government is chock full of people who are stealing just by showing up for work. My own sector is in dire need of a downsizing - and if someone in a future administration decides it's time for me to go, then I'll go back to farming.

Ain't that the fucking truth. Some of the most useless people I've ever met were in civilian DoD. I'm sorry, but many were vets just looking for a free ride. They show up (sometimes), dick around online, shoot the bull, take long lunches, send an email or two and leave at 3.

We could let 1/2 of the workforce go tomorrow and nobody would notice, except for a slight uptick in productivity

I don't think Obama went in with anywhere near the level of incompetence characterizing Trump. Also, Obama came in as a grown up rather than as a 10 year old in a grown man's body.

I do not attempt to locate and respond to every post responding to me. There are simply too many. If you're talking about the statutes related to her e mail server all I can say is that I've noted that a number of jurists have said she did not violate the relevant statutes. Law Professors and such.

I have not read the statute. I've been going with what Comey said about the statutes involved:
Our investigation looked at whether there is evidence classified information was improperly stored or transmitted on that personal system, in violation of a federal statute making it a felony to mishandle classified information either intentionally or in a grossly negligent way, or a second statute making it a misdemeanor to knowingly remove classified information from appropriate systems or storage facilities.
And I've noted that Comey as well as some legal scholars say those statutes weren't violated. I've noted other legal people saying they were violated. The the ones that say the statutes were violated tend to be associated with overtly partisan Republican interests.

BTW I am not saying Comey is a Saint. I frankly have been forced to wonder if he's an evil genius in supporting Trump. First, he did this thing where he savaged Clinton's reputation but did not say he was going to charge her. Had he said he was going to charge her chances are good the Democrats would've forced her out. The Super Delegates would've flocked to Sanders. And against Sanders Trump would be getting stomped.

Then 11 days before the election he breaks longstanding policy and releases what is really a nothing burger but creates the impression that something is going on. Totally disrupts things and definitely influences the election. Then he won't clarify it.

I don't want to believe Comey is intentionally being political and trying to facilitate a Republican win but it's getting harder not to.

I have worked off and on with federal employees my entire career. Many are fantastic people absolutely dedicated to doing their job correctly . Many just simply have no clue and don't give a shit. The problem is that the government treats them both the same.

The jurists you refer to have not read the statute. It is very simple.

Gross negligence is the standard, not intent. Comey painted a picture of someone who violated the statute and then claimed that charges were not recommended because he claimed that no prosecutor would take the case (to which numerous prosecutors responded that this was bunk)

BTW the ones who say the statutes were not violated also have political interests. There isn't a a neutral player in this game. You have simply chosen to believe those who align with your own political desires at this point. My political views are clearly anti-Clinton but I seem to be the only one between the two of us who isn't satisfied in taking the pundits' word for it.

I would be in jail if I did what she did, and I KNOW of people in my own department who have been prosecuted under this statute. To say there isn't a different set of rules here for Clinton is complete BS

And there goes Clinton's firewall. The latest RCP numbers has practically everything breaking for Trump. Penn and Colorado are within the margin of error. This might be over.
If Clinton lost New Hampshire but won her other firewall states, each candidate would finish with 269 electoral votes, taking the election to the House of Representatives. Or maybe not — if Clinton also lost the 2nd Congressional District of Maine, where polls show a tight race and where the demographics are unfavorable to her, Trump would win the Electoral College 270-268, probably despite losing the popular vote.

Couldn’t Clinton win Nevada to make up for the loss of New Hampshire? Or Florida? Or North Carolina? Well … of course she could. All those states remain highly competitive. The point, as we’ve said before, is just that Clinton’s so-called firewall is not very robust. If you’re only ahead in exactly enough states to win the Electoral College, and you’d lose if any one of them gets away, that’s less of a firewall and more of a rusting, chain-link fence.
