I'm getting tired of that "dumb hick" schtick, 93. Both major campaigns are attacking Johnson, and polls show that he's taking support from both sides, not just Trump: disillusioned millennials who were for Sanders, and college-educated GOP whites who can't stomach Trump. In fact, if anything, the attacks on GJ from the Clinton camp -- from Obummer on down -- have been more vitriolic. You're just flat-out wrong on your main premise.
I don't think I am. Millenials will buck up for their girl in November. That's what naive young people do. They put flowers in their hair and vote liberal. They are frightened about this hateful racist old white guy from New York that calls fat women fat.
 College-aged students believe Clinton and the Democrats will save them from Issue A and Issue B (much like blacks thought Obama was going to pay their mortgages, erase racism, give everyone free Newports). Stupid bastards. The older (and whiter and dumber) you are, the more likely you are to vote for Trump.

Talk about unsmart and uncool. :ohno:
That conservative bastion, WaPo, did a hit piece on GJ today. They sent a reporter or two to New Mexico to get state legislators' comments on GJ's governing style as governor. On the one hand, they said that Johnson was fundamentally disengaged as to policy matters, with a 5-minute limit on most discussions. But he trusted his gut. Some legislators didn't like his vetoes. But all called him honest, and a budget hawk. What's not to like, given the duopoly candidates?
Talk about shitty reporting. That 5 minute deal was something he offered every Thursday evening from 4:00-10:00 throughout his terms where he would give ANYONE, any constituent a chance to meet face to face with the governor and air their grievances. He has used that to explain how the Flint water crisis would have been discovered in his state early on.

But I'm sure establishment types like 89 hate this type of kitschyness and bowing down to the hoi poloi.

 The polls don't lie (generally).

It sucks because there is truly nobody worth voting for. At least with Mittens, there was somebody with political experience. Clinton and Trump are two turds filled with Ebola.

Clinton is being carried by the older, establishment type Democrats who have been voting D for decades and can't change. That's not millennials (though, they seem to be an easily scapegoated).

Yeah, not bad at all.

Only 6% behind Trump.

I've seen people theorize that folks are actually afraid to say they'd vote for Trump in these polls. Your post could support that. I don't buy into it, but I'm sure there are people who marginalize themselves on polls.

If that was the case WaPo wouldn't have run a hit piece claiming how terrible a 3rd party President would be...on second thought it was probably an op-ed from 89.

Yes, absolutely.

The difference between them is hubris.

And that Clintbama thinks that whenever theres a brushfire overseas we must send in the drones. This administration has been nothing more than a continuation of the GWB admin except with teenagers.

Time for someone who doesnt know what happening in places that have no strategic value to us, and more importantly, doesnt give a fuck

Ya... ^ sounds logical
Except there is one small problem with your observation
You make it seem as though the U.S. Military (the worlds largest government agency)
has no influence over where we go and what we drone
Like they just sit back and take orders from the President

These are the SAME PEOPLE that will brief the next president
and tell him (her) what to do and influence all variety of interaction and interdiction

Didn't Eisenhower admit that your notion wasn't quite accurate already (like since 1955)

It's their job to be prepared for whatever the administration wants them to do.

You're suggesting that the military talks and Presidents do the walk - and in some cases that was true- especially during the Cold War

But if you think for one second that someone like Barack Obama or Bill Clinton - two people with nothing but disdain for the military - take their marching orders from the pentagon then you're right up there with Spandos. It just doesn't work that way

There's no dark figure who is going to come out of the shadows and kill someone like Johnson because he pulls back from policing the world. It really is that simple.

If you think the largest government agency on the planet earth
Somehow isn't in the business of influencing decision making you're pushing some agenda as well then
or pretending to be naive and hoping to get away with it

Scaring the living sh!t out of Presidents since the 1950's
is part of the business of that agency and their enormous (ENORMOUS) Lobby

Example:
The Entire Congress and half the U.S. population were convinced to attack Iraq
For reasons beyond explanation because 9/11
Suggesting that military functions without fear and persuasion is BEYOND ridiculous CID

 I think we've hit your blind spot Archey

and YOU selling that Trump will somehow rise above responding to anything and everything
Because that's just his personality - you know - to rise above provocation - is HILARIOUS

You'll need to peddle that load of crap elsewhere because it's just that (CRAP)
