I-AA Game of the Week - WEEK FOUR

Post by 89Hen »

What is the I-AA GOTW?

BTW, only four MVFC teams in action this week. Never seen a conference take a week off. :suspicious:

Because 89 deigned to include an Ivy contest this week, I felt obligated to support it! 8-)

Pretty exciting slate this week! I had a hard time picking just one, so I didn't pick any.

Or, you could have gone with the game between two teams coming off of road wins over mighty MVFC teams. :coffee:

You mean that same mighty conference that went something like 17-1 last year against OOC foes? This year? mmmmmm not so much....

Yeah, that one. I just keep wondering how a Montana team working through NCAA sanctions and just recently got rid of it's band aid head coach of three years is recently 3-2 against the MVFC, with one of those wins being NDSU. :coffee:

I'd have voted for Montana at Cal Poly but for some reason I had a blind spot and didn't see it until after I voted.

But why on earth would you include Sam Houston State at Houston Baptist among the options? Is this week's slate THAT bad?

Uh. I can tell you've been just waiting to use that line first chance you got, and I can honestly say that you missed the mark. Should have saved it for a more appropriate time.

Actually ... I have not been waiting to use that line, but I would not puff out the chest to far on those wins yet, we have not seen enough season from any conference teams to know what things will shape up to be.
Congratulations again on the uni win this year and the 1st bison game last year, great feelings.
Remembering that USD beat us also?

Remember that time a Valley team other than NDSU won a title? Think it was in the 80s?

2002 with Western Kentucky.

Looks like the Griz/Polygamy game was the best this week.

That WAS one close game.

2nd was UND beating MSU 17 to 15, sounds like good defense on both sides?

Another one,
Illinois state was trying to come back but the QB fumbled with a couple minutes left .. just as well ... Indiana state out played them that game, won by 3.
