I was at Publix today fellas. And I saw Pumpkin Slice crap dotting the aisles. And a Halloween cake cooking magazine. Oh....IT'S TIME!!!

We officially have real live football every weekend now til Febrruary. No more agonizing Saturdays without anything on TV.

I happen to like NFL preseason. 2nd half in particular. LOVE watching the FAs and late rounders trying to make a team. Some intense ball being played in 4th qtr preseason games. Good stuff.

August 13th Seattle and Dallas both have games.
August 20th More preseason games and our state High School kicks off
August 27th Charleston Southern goes to Fargo and whoops up on NDSU (Haha please excuse my optimism!!)
Sept 3rd....it's on like Donkey Kong everywhere.


Soak it all in people!!! May and June weekends are around the corner!

Actually I start getting my fix around July 4 when the Canadian Football League starts. Some excellent FCS talent up north, and ESPN2 will start showing some games as well.

It still boggles my mind how no successful spring league has ever developed. Football is by far the most in demand sport in America. And it's not even close. Yet...it only occupies about 4 months of 12. Supply and demand may have something to do with that.

I've heard people suggest FCS should move to the spring and be the only show on during those months. I don't know if that's all that bad of an idea. I know here in SC we have many fans who go to Clemson or USC games instead of CSU ones. Or even stay home to watch a big game on TV if there's a major one. Spring season would bring more fans to FCS.
