ESPN didn't masturbate to Flacco nearly as much as they have to Wentz :twocents:
No, but that's not in question...

Maybe Adrien Peterson while at Georgia Southern or the App State QB (damn brain fart what was his name) after the Michigan game exposure. To be a "star" you kinda need some regular attention from National media.
Vernon Adams.
Who?

Wentz really didn't get much hype until his college career was basically over (Senior Bowl) and was heading into the draft. Flacco was a first round draft pick bucs, after leading his team to the NC. He was as much a star as Wentz.
I remember the NFL shows did. I remember in preseason on NFL Network some draft guys were talking about the 16 class and they mentioned how much scouts liked Wentz. But yeah the mainstream ESPN didn't hype him a whole lot.

Did I read the article correctly? Allen is out an estimated 4 weeks with an injury and is going to be suspended for a game?

I don't doubt El Cid keeps players on thinner ice than most public DI schools, but that really kinda takes the teeth out of the punishment.

The NFL already had Wentz on their radar. According to Coach K every NFL team had been to Fargo by the end of Aug last year.

It's my understanding that the injury to his finger occurred after he had already been suspended for a violation of team rules. That's just hearsay though.

That's OK, I've seen the Ravens pick him enough times.

I hear the 2nd team guys is pretty solid though. It goes without saying, I'm rooting for the Citadel to win the SoCon. Go Dogs!
