And how off balanced and neurotic would a man have to be to take that comment as a slight against men

Try another analogy. That one doesn't work too well.

It's possible that it was intended to be a jab at Whites but it is much more likely that it was a "look at how far we've come" statement which I would agree with.

It will probably be difficult for MAQA yahoos to overcome the Qult programming but they should give being rational & reasonable a try.

I took it as a "look at how far we've come" statement, or at least I want to.
But the statement is another example of the eggshells whites have to walk on that blacks do not in order to not offend anyone.

Except that it was a jab to whites that had nothing to do with slavery from an angry black. Other than that, I'm good with it.

No silly...

She's playing the victim card here. The woe is me poor little black girl being discriminated against because she is forced to wake up in a house that was "built by slaves" (nevermind that she is the current "owner" of that house, and nevermind that the house is one of the most opulent private residences in the world). She is probably the most privileged person in this country regardless of race...the elitist of the elite class, but please don't forget that she is a victim in all this...

Kinda like Bill Clinton saying I "feel your pain" back in the day, or The Hildabeast's claim that her and Bill were "broke" when they left the White House, or how The Hildabeast is now saying that she will make Wall Street pay their "fair share" while she is raking 1/4 Million in speaking fees from Wall Street companies. Provide an example of her lying under oath. I've had this conversation with others.

For example: It's going to be awfully hard to prove that she lied when she said nothing she handled was classified when Comey said he can't say she knowingly handled anything that was classified.

It's like I said with the Bush and Weapons of Mass Destruction thing: Being inaccurate is not necessarily lying. In order to lie you have to say something that is inaccurate while knowing it's inaccurate.

I think if the Republican Congress tries to pursue a "lying to Congress" thing they are going to impale themselves.

As the SoS, if she didn't know she was being passed confidential information how can we trust her not to leak or say something damaging when she's POTUS. Ignorance isn't an excuse. She signed a NDA that tells her to treat all information with the utmost secrecy and security

She's either lying or stupid. I'm going to suggest both. She knew she was being fed classified information. I'm a citizen and I know she was being fed that information. You know it. You're trying to rationalize your support and it's not working.

If you believe that she didn't knowingly handle classified info as SoS, then you're dumber than I thought.

I see the difference youre seeing perfectly but I'm not talking about that

In terms of the "I'm black look at me I carry the burden of Atlas" lens they are quite similar- and coming from either of the Obamas all I can say is

What I'm trying to figure out is why this is the race highlight of the DNC and not the parading of black moms whose sons were killed in not-so-suspicious situations to promote the narrative of (in Hillary's own words) "systemic racism".

The Dems need to have it thrown in the face that they are claiming to be about "positivity" and opposing "politics of fear" while claiming it's open season for police on young black men.

The stock market is on a bubble of massive proportion building...just waiting for the pop.
We just hit the lowest home ownership rate in 50+ years.
1st quarter GDP was a paltry 0.8%, 2nd quarter GDP was a disappointing 1.2%.

I wouldn't say we're spiraling into a steep decline, but we are definitely in an economic quagmire. The steep decline was in 2008 - 2010, but we just aren't recovering. That isn't an emotional response, it's just the facts.

Again, Comey also said he did not have sufficient evidence to say that she knowingly sent classified material. He also said he did not have sufficient evidence to say she knew anything was marked classified.

With him having said those things, there's no way they're going to be able to succeed in trying to get her for lying under oath with respect to those issues. They would have to show that she said those things knowing that they were false. And the FBI director already said he can't say that she knew.

Also, she didn't say her lawyers read every one of the e mails. She said they "went through" them. And there was a reference to search terms. That implies an automated keyword search process to identify certain e mails. Gowdy was inaccurate in describing what she said. Knowingly or not, he set up a false premise.

The Republicans are going to screw themselves just like they screwed themselves going after Bill Clinton in the 1990s if they insist on continuing to pursue this.
