She's already spun a significant federal crime into the ground, was part and parcel of the political lies surrounding Libya to preserve a tough on terror narrative heading into the 2012 elections, and has headed off major questions about pay to play shenanigans in her foundation. I doubt anything in wikileaks is going to matter

Wikileaks is more likely to hurt the US with it's revelations than it is to hurt Hillary in the election. F that attention-whoring ASSange.

This. hilldog just needs to sit tight, continue to steer clear of the press, and let Trump and his team gaffe their way into November and the POTUS is hilldogs for the taking.

But she keeps choosing to react to every little thing that Trump does or says. Even now with the #TrumpYourself hashtag.

I am just amazed at how both major parties are trying to commit suicide. We've already discussed how stupid it was for Republicans to choose Trump. And then there' are the Democrats voting to nominate someone who had that FBI investigation hanging over her head. Then even though she wasn't charged the FBI director spent a bunch of time giving the Republicans sound bites and video for campaign ads.

And Hillary: What a selfish bitch. If she'd had any concern for the country or her party she would not have run for President with a FBI investigation potentially leading to charges against her going on. The Democrats would be in MUCH better position right now if she'd have stayed out of it because the Republicans have SUCH a crappy candidate that just about anybody else they would've nominated would have trounced him. The ONLY reason Trump is close and has a chance is that Hillary has so much baggage.

What's going on this time is just unbelievable.

CNN - Donald Trump comes out of his convention ahead of Hillary Clinton in the race for the White House, topping her 44% to 39% in a four-way matchup including Gary Johnson (9%) and Jill Stein (3%) and by three points in a two-way head-to-head, 48% to 45%. That latter finding represents a 6-point convention bounce for Trump, which are traditionally measured in two-way matchups.

Trump is an amateur as far as foreign policy goes. He has no qualms about weakening NATO.

Putin is going to pwn either one of them, and you're deluded if you think there's any indication that Trump would be successful.

I'm not making that argument in favor of Trump. But hilldog has a track record of utter failure on the foreign policy stage (you know, her qualifying experience), so we know what to expect there.

Trump is a huge unknown. Best hope there is he surrounds himself with experienced and qualified folks. At least with Trump there is a chance that America won't get embarrassed on the foreign policy stage, with hilldog that is assured. Total unknown vs known.

And NATO? Yeah we can count on NATO to halt Russian tanks if they ever decide to roll west. Fuck Europe.

This is true. But he has yet to fail at it like Hillary.

Maybe. Or maybe he is strengthening it by getting other members to step up their games.

Questioning our participation in NATO is actually one thing that makes me like Trump. Gary Johnson will do it as well

BTW I'm enjoying the newfound hawkishness of the left. Who would have thought you guys would be such staunch supporters of NATO

Getting Latvia to increase spending a few tenths of a percent isn't going to make NATO any stronger.

NATO's strength comes from the guarantee that anyone attacking a NATO country will be met with the US military.

It's not Latvia or Lithuania spending 2.0% of GDP on defense.

I don't like NATO - especially the expansion into for Soviet states under Bush. And, I've said the same on here many times.

I'm not arguing for NATO here.

But, I'm not sure how people can complain about our leaders getting "pwned" by Putin on foreign affairs - and, then suggest a weakening of NATO.

That fucking baffles me. And, you're one of the guys doing it?

If you base foreign policy success on whether or not you are "pwned" by Putin - I can't imagine anything more of a bitchslap on foreign policy from Putin then a castration of NATO.

Well when their candidate has foreign policy experience akin to W's foreign policy on steroids, the left has no choice but to embrace it. Funny how they are falling in line behind someone with a foreign policy track record similar, if not worse, than W's. Remember when the left crucified that guy for Afghanistan-Iraq? Oh the irony.

lol.

I'm not defending NATO. I don't like NATO. And, I've spoken about that many times on here going back years (and, arguing about you fuckers on it).

I would have no problem with NATO getting out of former Soviet countries and kicking Turkey out. I'd also have no problem with the full dissolution of NATO.

What I'm posting about his that it's hilarious to hear you guys talk about western leaders getting "pwned" by Putin - and, then in the same breath argue for the weakening of NATO. THAT'S Putin's goal.

First of all, Putin isn't "pwning" anybody. Its Sergey Lavrov. And he has most certainly run complete dizzying circles around our own foreign policy wonks. It is motherfvcking embarrassing. I am personally embarrassed by it. I can't stand the Russians

We have shown nothing but weakness to the Russians and they have been emboldened by it and now we see the price of weakness. Ironic that you would cry wolf about a Trump foreign policy but in reality what you are doing is deflecting from the fact that Russia is emboldened by our own amateurism that Trump has had absolutely ZERO to do with.

BTW-

Since you'll spin me saying we have shown weakness into a question about how we should show strength, I'll go ahead an address that now.

We dissolve NATO. Pull out completely. We stop playing world police and putting ourselves into position where we can either shoot at the Russians or back down in the face of their own bullying. We don't draw lines in the sand in places like Syria where we have no intention of facing down the Russians. We don't put ourselves in a position to be in conflict with other world powers when the outcome does not benefit us.
