I have no problem with large businesses. I am like most opposed to politicians handing them favors. And no Bernie is in no way shape or form pro business. He is pro free stuff.

He sponsored legislation to provide low interest loans to small businesses. You said you couldn't find anything.OL FU wrote:I have no problem with large businesses. Now...does that make him pro-business? Of course not.
I don't have a problem with large businesses either. That's enevitable. But when they become monopolistic and are able to manipulate markets through controlling government, that becomes a problem.
Not to mention anti-capalistic.

Klam's a thoughtful moderate so you should really consider his viewpoint when he's mansplaining Bernie to you

Back on theme. Gary still polling at 12% nationally.
Guess I better send him a check.

The road to a Johnson victory is long and hard. And it can be full of curves. Mostly to the right.

If his numbers go down it will be primarily because of the way the media portrays him.89Hen wrote:So his numbers go down?CID1990 wrote:I just want him to have a spot in the debates.

Re: Gary Johnson, your next POTUS
I agree to an extent. If it turns out to be a 3-way debate, he will automatically impress people as honest (in contrast to Hillary/Trump) and sane (in contrast to Trump/Hillary). And, at the VPOTUS level, Bill Weld is certainly no Admiral Stockdale. The media will likely try their usual riff that Libertarians are kooks, droogs, and isolationists, but Johnson's confident, low-key TV image will dispel that meme pretty quickly.kalm wrote:If his numbers go down it will be primarily because of the way the media portrays him.89Hen wrote: So his numbers go down?

They should hire the consulting firm of IvyKalm to help them.

Re: Gary Johnson, your next POTUS
Just got a fundraising pitch from the RNC. The "survey" asked me whether I planned to vote for Trump (I checked "NO" and wrote "Hell" underneath); whether I supported the local GOP Congressional candidate (I checked "Unsure" and said that I might go Libertarian); and what the two biggest election issues are (I said "economy" and "terrorism").
Then it asked me for my "most generous contribution." In my best Dean Wormer imitation, I put down "ZERO POINT ZERO."
Nothing on there that will land me on a no-fly list, is there?

I don't have one OL. Never claimed to have one. That's why this is so disheartening. I actually agree with a lot of GJ's positions, but taking the "I side with..." test, I don't ever recall scoring so low with my best matches.OL FU wrote:Out of curiosity, who is your alternative?89Hen wrote: Gary Johnson is alternative, but not an alternative for me.
