All that means is you're committed

"Committed" is often the enemy of intellectually honesty...

:coffee:
No it means it's useless to talk about this when the supposed intellectual superior has a grade school education on the topic. Worthless.

You believe what you want. Fine. Don't insult me because I don't see it your way.

If you think us committed' don't have doubts your wrong.

Having Faith doesn't give you all the answers. It allows you to live with the questions.

I think I'm pretty good at:
God discovered by natural means in your daily life
based on observations of the natural world and common sense

vs.

God spoon fed to you through intense brainwashing and historical gibberish
with all the mandatory hierarchy and adjunct trimmings fabricated through the centuries

:coffee:

But true, I do enjoy a nice electric car thread...

Religion and God, were used to answer questions that we didn't fully understand. Things like, why is everyone getting dying?

God was the answer to natural disasters, bad luck, plagues, etc... when in reality logical and/or scientific answers exist.

So, it wasn't a made up answer. Humans just didn't know any better.

BTW, not completely related, but I've seen a lot of photos of graduation lately and it cracks me up how "educated" people like to laugh at the funny clergy garb and then...

Just trying to get a straight answer here. Does the Church have any other major revenue streams besides the donations of its members?

Okay. So I think it's fair for cleets to point out that ostentatious displays like that aren't really what Jesus was about?

QVC is a big source as is Royal Farms. Both are owned and operated by the Catholic Church.

Can you point to something built as lavish by the Catholic Church in, say the last 500 years?
