Trump Chickens Out
Of the potential debate with Sanders, I mean.
http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2016-el ... te-n581826
It doesn't surprise me. I saw some people on CNN this morning saying they'd be shocked if he went through with it because Sanders would clean his clock. Talked about how Sanders has very well thought out views that he's contemplated for decades while Trump has no clue. And they were right.
If Trump gets into a situation where he actually has to show he knows what he's talking about he has no chance. And he knows that.

Yeah, because that's what America cares about in debates: politicians with well thought out views they've contemplated for decades. That's why Trump got flame sprayed in the Republican debates, right?

He was going up against CAREER politicians and the average American still believed he cleaned their collective clocks.
Bottom line in this case is that he said he'd debate Sanders and now he's saying he won't. He's not in the Republican primaries anymore and I think somebody must have pointed that out to him. I don't agree with Sanders but Sanders would kill him in a debate.
Put it this way: Sanders is ready to go. All in. Trump is not after saying he was. Figure it out.

Bernie Sanders is a deadbeat douche bag who has never really held a job outside of politics. He got kicked out of some hippie commune back in the day because he wouldn't shut his mouth and "help" in that socialist paradise. He has done nothing but spout Marxist drivel his entire life, so, yea, he has nice rehearsed answers. Why doesn't Sanders go to some of the South America shitholes and fix their socialist experiments down there.JohnStOnge wrote:Of the potential debate with Sanders, I mean.

As I said, I don't agree with Sanders' philosophy of government. But Trump very publicly said he would debate Sanders. Sanders said he was all for that. Sanders is still all for that. Trump all of a sudden is backing off. Now he doesn't want to do it.Bernie Sanders is a deadbeat douche bag who has never really held a job outside of politics. I actually don't know how the debate would go, Sanders, in my opinion, is a terrible debater because his ideas are so bad. Trump is a bad debater because he is Trump. But you are right, Trump accepted the debate and then backed away.JohnStOnge wrote:As I said, I don't agree with Sanders' philosophy of government. When did a Republican presumptive nominee debate a Democratic presumptive non-nominee before party conventions ever? It just doesn't happen.
This was a last grasp by Bernie to remain relevant. Trump doesn't need to throw him that bone.

That's not the point. The point is it's more of Trump bullshitting.93henfan wrote:When did a Republican presumptive nominee debate a Democratic presumptive non-nominee before party conventions ever? It just doesn't happen.
He confidently declares he'd love to debate Sanders and even shows his typical arrogance in stating "The problem with debating Bernie is he's gonna' lose." Then the next thing you hear he's backing out because it's "inappropriate."

If was inappropriate when he issued the statement discussed in the second video it was inappropriate a couple of days earlier when he made a big deal out of saying he would do it. If he'd have thought he'd come out looking good by doing it he would've done it. The problem for him was that there was a substantial risk that Sanders would clean his clock and puncture the mythology he's managed to create around himself.
What is it going to take to make you accept the fact that the guy is a complete charlatan who can't be trusted at ALL. Even by the minimal standards of politicians he's WAY towards the dishonest and completely unreliable end of the spectrum.
This didn't happen in isolation. It's part of a well established pattern of behavior. He says crap then later either says he didn't say it even though it's clearly on record that he did or he just ignores the fact that he said it. As I've said before, he's like a friggin' little kid; and a bad little did at that.

Hey I was in Seaford Friday, my first time circulating all over Sussex County in a couple of months, and noticed several Trump bumper stickers. The oddest of all though was when I got back to Milford. I saw a late model Chevy with a Trump yard sign in the back window as I walking in to grab a pizza. On the way back out, there were three soul brothers sitting in it. I did a double take. As I backed out I checked to see if it said "F***" above the "Trump" but no. They were Trump supporters.Ivytalk wrote:Troof!93henfan wrote:When did a Republican presumptive nominee debate a Democratic presumptive non-nominee before party conventions ever? Socialism is not an enumerated power of the Federal Government but why bring up the Constitution, the Constitution is simply out of the mental grasp of a progressive or socialist.
