Criticism and ridicule were immediate. So this morning he was on CNN trying to claim he didn't actually say what he said:

“I said if we can buy back government debt at a discount -- in other words if interest rates go up and we can buy bonds back at a discount -- if we are liquid enough as a country, we should do that,” he said.

That's not at all what he said. Answering "yeah" to the question of whether we can renegotiate debts then saying "I have borrowed knowing you can pay back with discounts" is not saying what he claims he said. Saying "you can pay back with discounts" is not saying "we can buy back government debt at a discount." The lying SOB was lying....again. And he does that crap all the time. He says something stupid or obviously untrue and tries to claim he never said it.

That's not a "type of analysis along those lines." Politifact selects numerous statements made by each candidate and evaluates them then assigns a rating to them. And the Politifact analysis shows that Clinton has made false statements.

But it results in an assessment of the proportion of statements that are false. And, in terms of proportion, Donald Trump has made a LOT more false statements than Clinton has during the primary period.

Simply pointing out false statements is not the same kind of analysis.

Instead of trying to tell everyone how bad Trump is and that Hillary is somehow better for the WH, to go out and campaign for GJ. I'm sure there was some reasoning for him to do so, unless he was doing it ironically. Or wanted to impress people by claiming he were "evolved" from the two party system.

Ohhhhh...Politifact says Trump lies more than Hillary. Who gives a damn when Hillary's lies have already cost lives. Trump is campaigning. Apparently, that is a new thing to John. Trump isn't reading from some card...he isn't having his campaign test out lies and then codifying them into, "policy" sound bites (polcies that will change in a heartbeat wen it becomes advantageous). Trump called for a ban on Muslins...and then clown boy JSO says that when Trump says no one is calling for it, it is somehow a policy decision that has been brought before Congress.

Lies aren't all equal, John.
