The Cali primary ballot is weird. You actually have to register for a particular party to get a ballot with names on it for the Presidential Primary, but just about all of the other races show the names of everyone running regardless of party; some of the races have up to 20 names, most of whom have ZERO name recognition whatsoever. Outside of the State Senate race featuring one of our City Council members (a former member of the Assembly), I really don't know anyone running. We DO have a carpetbagging Republican running for the zillionth time. This is a guy who retired from the US Marshals and relocated to our area for the sole purpose of running for office: any office, any election. It's disgusting. Interesting that we only have one ballot measure up this time, and that's yet another Constitutional Amendment (we have the most amendment-bloated Constitution in the world), this time about what to do with suspended members of the State Legislature. That's apparently important now given that in the last year or so, three members have been suspended after convictions for various crimes.
Incidentally, our GOP ballot still features Kasich, Carson, and Cruz. I guess the ballots were already printed when they dropped out. Seems kinda odd in the case of Carson, though, given that he gave up the ghost months ago, it seems.
I just can't vote for Trump right now. You guys all know what I'm going to do. I've already voted on my sample ballot, which I'll take to the polling place as a guide.

When the ballot has a long string of names I've never heard of, YES.CAA Flagship wrote:SuperHornet wrote:The Cali primary ballot is weird.
