But Cruz is at least qualified to be President of the United States and, in spite of what some of you guys on this board say, is not a complete nut. Trump is a complete nut job. He's not healthy in the head. And it's obvious. If you're a career politician (which Fiorina is not, BTW) and you associate yourself with Trump you are seriously risking your future.

Every career politician you love is jealous of Trump. He's perfectly lampooned them. Given your critiques and offerings on music, drugs, and judges I always thought you to have a solid anti-authority/counter-culture streak in you. But when it comes to politics you are sadly pedestrian and all about the formality and pomp and circumstance of the establishment.

While he would be a good choice on the one hand, not a woman, not a minority, not from a big swing states (FL, OH, VA, PA)..Alabama is already a lock for Trump.

Since when has Trump shown us that he would pander to women or minorities by basing his VP pick on gender or race?

Trump is a pragmatist and he's going to pick someone even keeled with DC experience and a history of being more low key than the tea partiers. That's my take on it - he could surprise me but I think that is what he'll do

I don't see him picking a woman just to pick a woman, that would just seem like pandering. Unless he picked the New Mexico governor, Martinez - then he'd have a Hispanic woman on the ticket from a state that would be useful to turn from blue to red. So that's my first pick, Susana Martinez. I do like that Carl Ichan pick too. He's probably too old, but I wouldn't be shocked if he pulls out a legitimately well respected former business leader (not a Fiorina, a good one) and tries to draw a difference between his business knowledge and Hillary's.

Trump needs to cut into hilldogs massive lead in Team Brown. Martinez would serve that and cut into her war on wimmin card too. He just needs to peel a decent portion of Team Brown away from hilldog, not win us over outright and he might have a chance.

I think he will pick a woman. Here are a list of what I see as the likely suspects.

Washington state Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers; New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez; former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice; Florida Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen; former Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao; Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer; New Hampshire Senator Kelly Ayotte.

My favorite would be Rice.

Could you imagine the opportunity being a part of his cabinet would present. Trump would be the first administration in a long time where the public would legitimately care about who holds those positions and the hatred for Trump would be so strong that ANY successes that would occur would automatically be attributed to them, and any failures would be blamed on Trump himself.

Almost the complete opposite of the current Obama administration
