Re: 2016 Republican Primary
Last night I saw polling indicating that a majority of public primary voters think Trump was the best candidate to handle the economy. It's another example of how detached from reality they are. Do you know what Trump's approach to trade is? It's tariffs. You can Google "Trump calls for tax on imported goods" and see all the hits. This article kind of summarizes some of it:

Another interesting one:

It's just ridiculous. There are two ways in which we can avoid severe economic disturbances if Donald Trump becomes President:
1) Congress stops him so he can't do what he's been saying he wants to do
2) He's just bullshitting the numbskulls who have been voting for him in order to get elected and doesn't have the slightest intention of trying to do the things he's been saying he's going to do.

Of course that's MSNBC so we can't believe them. They're liberals. And if Donald says something it must be true (never mind that he's got a record of making false statements at a dizzyng rate). If there’s one consistent theme to GOP presidential hopeful Donald Trump’s often confusing worldview, it’s that the cure for what ails America – from immigration to jobs to taxes – is more tariffs.

And, heck, why should we believe an international trade attorney with lots of experience in litigating international trade disputes. I mean, Donald Trump built some hotels. Of COURSE he knows all about international trade! There really is no sugarcoating it: almost everything that Donald Trump has proposed on U.S.-China trade—for example, during last Thursday night’s GOP debate, in a recent the New York Times interview, and on his website—is wrong.

Re: 2016 Republican Primary
Cruz failed on so many levels. That's why he lost. I'm sure someone is doing this now, but what percentage of his speeches were on social issues? He spent so much time courting the religious extreme that he failed to get the moderates. He spent more time on social issues than he did the economy or national security. He gets Kasich to leave Indiana, and then fails to court Kasich voters. Most Kasich voters ended up supporting Trump yesterday.
His persona, his poor debating style, he lack of charisma, his obsession with social issues, his lack of popularity with the GOP to begin with spelled disaster for him. I was listening to local talk radio this morning, who by the way are Never Trump people, and just about each of the 12-15 callers were calling in to say Trump is the man and they'll support him. One guy even said, " As an amputee, i'm gonna be a One Man Stump for Trump."
Even right now, people are disappointed but they are so Never Clinton that they'll align behind pump.
I listen to talk radio during the day b/c it's great entertainment. Especially Beck. I can't wait to hear him go off the deep end. I guess his fasting and prayers to God fell on deaf ears.

Perhaps...but Trump is echoing a lot of what Rand Paul is saying. And, it is FAR better than Hillary's clownish, establishment (let's keep everything going for the uber wealthy) approach.UNI88 wrote:That is much more of a Rand Paul approach than a Trump approach.Cluck U wrote:
Fixing the economy is really simple.
Stop spending billions protecting other countries. Invest that money in our education and our infrastructure. Stop giving government contracts to anyone that makes our **** out of our country.
We spend a ginormous amount of money on things that give us little return. The money isn't recirculated to help our people out. We have a lot of military people, about 150,000 of them (and that doesn't count the peeps on ships that spend money when docked in other countries), helping to prop up other countries' economies. Bring them home and have them spend the money here. Foreign aid? Spend it here.
Every little thing adds up. I laugh at people that say, well, our aid is only 1% of the budget. Really? Our economy is slugging along at a limp...think 1% of our budget, circulated around, would help out? Give me $35 billion and I think I can make a lot of Americans happier. Of course, that doesn't include the defense budget...and certainly not the black budget for our foreign escapades, an example of which was when we dumped tens of millions to a bunch of goat herding drug lords in Afghanistan, only to have them turn around and attack our forces anyway. Think some struggling Americans could have used that money?
The waste and corruption in our government is unbelievable...and a lot of it goes to the 1% who don't bother to put it back into the economy.
We do not have a spending problem. There is plenty of money and potential work to go around. We have a prioritization problem.

That's the best way to open up your mind...play the victim (there might be some truth in that...but not in the way you think) and shut your eyes to the obvious.∞∞∞ wrote:Cluck U wrote:
Face it...you like Sander's policies more than Hillary's. Sander's speech tonight was spot on. He leaves Hilary in the dust for the Liberal vote. Sanders speaks the truth.
Yet you, and other dimwitted clowns, mostly racist minorities, continue to support Hillary...against your own best interest.![]()
And you might want to check whether you still have a package...your estrogen levels are rising.![]()
That's the best way to convince voters not to vote for a candidate...telling them they're stupid, racist, and voting against their best self interest. But it's fine...you have your vote and I have mine.
I'm telling you the truth...backed up by facts...and yet you still cling to ever-so-carefully constructed Hillary, and establishment, sound bites.
You are, ironically, almost in a religious state of mind. You beleive, and are digging in your heels (and blaming others for you digging them in even more - seriously...reread your first sentence). You believe things that are not true.
You are also thinking similarly to a victim of abuse who defends her husband's actions and will not leave his side.
Do some research on Hillary and her past positions. It isn't that hard. Avoid the main stream media sources. Bernie gave a great speech last night. His vision is the future that most young people, and most rational people, should want. All people working side-by-side to lift each other up. We spend an enormous amount of money on a rigged system...a system that benefits Hillary's friends...and a system they don't want broken up. So, they are promising to throw scraps at people like you and you are falling for it. You are in a cult, and you are, reflexively, rejecting any help.
At this point, your mind is so far set that you won't listen to facts. Yup...religion/cultishness has set in and you are willing to defend what can't rationally be defended. So, with little hope that you and your kind will come to see the light of reason, yeah, I laugh. But don't try to blame me for you not switching your vote...that is all on you. You are now reaching for anything to justify your ignorant, and hypocritical, stance.
Of course, I am always willing to help, so my door is always open. Parents usually do try to help children. But, they, and other people with good intentions, only cause the irrational folks to go further down the rabbit hole of their illusion.
So, take it or leave it...but Bernie is the FAR better choice for any person who believes in a level playing field. FAR BETTER. The fact that you can't see that means that you have your own bigoted issues to deal with. Try to find that source...and maybe you can start to see the error of your ways.
Good luck with that.

Hell, we've helped supply far more arms and money to ISIS and those whack job Muslins than any other nation on the planet (don't mention Saudi Arabia...because we fund their sheikhs and military).

Trump just needs to focus more on the MERITS of his plans, rather than just handing the Dems quick sound bites. WHY a wall is a good idea to provide a physical barrier to illegal immigration.
WHY restricting refugees while we know that ISIS is still a worldwide threat (not a "JV team") and is wrecking havoc across Europe.
Right now the Democrat policy on illegal immigration is just "welp, if you made it here, you won the lottery". How is that fair to those who come into this country legally?
Sanders supporters want us to be more like the Scandinavian countries, yet even THEY are restricting Muslim refugees coming to their shores, but Democrats bury their heads in the sand about that about that little fact.
People keep saying that Trump is energizing the Hispanic vote in favor of the Democrats, I'm not seeing it, I see more and more Hispanics understanding that an unsecured border is a major factor in not only the safety of this country, but also a major factor in the lack of jobs in this country.

What was Obama's famous quotes from 2012?
"I won"
"Elections have consequences"
I see Trump actually being more willing to bring about a less idealistic Administration, and being more willing to bring the best and brightest to the table with him. A welcome change from having the Yes Men of the Obama administration and the Echo Chamber of the Bush Administration.
I would like America to be a country where the best and brightest can succeed to the highest level. I learned a long time ago that Democrats don't want that. "Because that's not fair".

Specifically, the cogent partners are typically made up of an assurgent and an insurgent. But the roles are interchangeable, and both like the color magenta.
But if one goes off on a tangent, then divorce could result. In which case, one or both could become regents.
This is assuming that everyone involved are of legal age, otherwise they would be a preemergent.
Cogents can be from every race. For example, a Native American would be an indigent.
