May Day anarchy... (and hilarity)

May Day in Seattle leads to arrests - and hilarity

Not a lot of support for the rally from the community
but don't let that stop you

"We want them to hear our voices, to know that we are here and that we want a better life, with jobs," said Norberto Guiterrez, a 46-year-old immigrant from Mexico who joined families, union members and students who marched through downtown..."

The article is subscription only, but it looks like Seattle has some liberal anarchy celebration on May Day?

Wtf?

We actually have a cool little colonial May Day celebration in Dover. It's more a celebration of spring than anything else. We even let the darkies get in on the action ever since that Brown v Board of Ed decision. They got hops:

Only been to the airport (nice airport, btw), but yes, I'm aware that Seattle and Portland are holding down the fort for hairy, smelly people.

The anarchy thing has always cracked me up...as if there's such a thing as a state of human existence without some kind of hierarchy among individuals.

Cue the "but the tea partiers are basically anarchists too!"

Agreed.

I also find it humorous when obviously racist people call for putting an end to racism.

Hierarchy of individuals sounds like the libertarian way of saying government.
