Hillary would almost certainly be a 2 term President, and could get away with it.

After 8 years of PBO, I think I've come to the conclusion that if you're a Progressive, electing a Democratic President in the mold of Bill/Obama/Hillary might be worse than electing a moderate Republican.

On foreign policy, I also think Trump would be less hawkish than HRC.
We're overdue for a one termer anyways.

We've had ONE (Bush Sr.) in the last 36 years, with HRC that number goes to 44 easily. Trump breaks up that streak, I doubt he'll go for a second term. And gives the next generation of candidates a few more years to mold themselves. America is pissed off right now and Trump will go down in history as the symbol of that anger.

The choice between Trump and Hillary is a bad one. Neither of them are good. I'll be voting third party again but one of those two people are going to be the next President.

I don't know who would be worse, but I know less about Trump than I do about Hillary. Trump's history suggests that he would be a fiscal liberal.

He is also rather secular, so I doubt Clitz and the rest of the scaredycats will be forced to attend Sunday School under his watch.

I also know he's full of crap about his wall, and a moratorium on Muslim immigration is not possible without a change in the laws or the complete acquiescence of Congress.

One thing I think Trump WOULD be capable of doing is getting away from the political spoils system in the appointments process. No way Hillary would do that (and maybe Trump wouldn't, either). At the end of the day Trump is an unknown quantity in most cases except in economics. The one thing I do know is that his "possibles" are likely much better than Clinton's.

Sure...anyone who doesn't want a sneaky, lying, selfish, lining-her-pocket, curry-to-the-rich, race baiting, sell her soul wench to occupy the White House.

In other words, anyone with a functioning brain.

No, the flyover states have actually been supporting Cruz.
Yes, via the caucuses.. There have been no actual "primary elections" in the states you refer to. In my state, Cruz was picked by the local party officials, the description of typical Trump voters I posted does not describe those who are in the party, nor those who would attend caucuses.

I don't know what any of that means. Why don't you people just vote, like the rest of the country?

Not my call man, and I know nobody here who approves of this caucus shit, everybody wants the primaries to be in the summer with the other primaries, and actually get to vote.

Basically, the people out there are so out of it that they don't have the capacity to use reason to bring about change.

Here's a response from one of them:

"Duh, you mean I'm controlled by other people and I don't understand? But, uh, yeah...we're sure independent thinkers out here, aren't we!"

Cue the Deliverance theme song...with a western twang.

What part of correct did you not understand? :dunce:

He wanted to reform it by gradually privatizing it. Perfect! Let the government be the middleman even more before it eventually gets axed.

Brilliant!

Two :dunce: :dunce: for that one.

He wanted to give people the choice (option) to invest a small portion of their "contributions" into a private (non-government) account if they so chose.

How dare people be given that choice. The government manages our money better than we do. :silly:

And, moving social security funds to privatized accounts is a cut.

How do you say this one post before? :suspicious:

And, this plan would have looked brilliant if it actually was pushed through in 2005-2007 or so. Right before the stock market tanked.

But would have be epically successful if like Obamacare, was scheduled to start going into effect 3-5 years later.

Aren't liberals TRUMPeting the sky-high stock market as one of the banners of Barack Obama being one of the most successful Presidents in the history of the world!!!1!!

Because "contributions" and benefits would have remained the same, therefore, no cut.

Or are you trying to say that Social Security "contributions" are a tax and not a benefit? :?

To piggy back off DSU...Do you mean the same Obama stock market that has set record highs? :suspicious:

I don't know who would be worse,
As bad as Hillary would be, Trump would be worse. He is mentally ill. You may think I am flip in saying that but Google "Trump is mentally ill" and you'll see that I am not saying that in a vacuum.

I am absolutely serious in saying it. I thought it pretty quickly after watching his behavior for a while then I started searching on line to see if there were any mental health professionals that have the same impression. And there are.

I mean, for one thing, it's pretty obvious that he acts in a very immature manner and appears to have self control issues. It's kind of like if you see somebody hanging over a toilet throwing up. You don't have to be a doctor to see that they're sick. The guy pretty obviously has serious issues.
