Speaking of hush money...how come Hastert gets 15 months in prison for raping a couple boys, age 14-17, while Milk gets a statue of him in Gaytown for raping a 16 year old? :suspicious:

C'mon, dback...get crackin' on the fundraising for Hastert's statue...another future hero. :thumb:

That's not even what we're talking about  It doesn't matter how many delegates Cruz wins from here on out. The only thing that matter is Trump needs to win 1237 or there will likely be a contested convention which means Cruz or Kasich could win in a contested convention irregardless of how many delegates Cruz wins from here on out. Which means Trump likely needs to win Indiana to get to that 1237 to prevent a contested convention like I was saying.

Ok. It depends on what your definition of "path" is then. I was referring to his "path" being keeping Trump from 1237 and winning through a contested convention.

I don't agree with that path (contested convention) so long as a candidate if he doesn't get to 1237 gets pretty close (say 1100+ which of course Trump easily will, and the 2nd place candidate isn't close (which Cruz won't likely be- he'll likely finish in the 700s, maybe hit 800). It it would be better if Trump simply got to 1237..

Path to the nomination. Path to 1237. He doesn't have it.

That is 2 different paths you are talking about.
-Path to the nomination Cruz has has a very slim chance at through a contested convention if Trump doesn't hit 1237.
-Path to 1237 obviously not.

I've posted the schedule back in Feb on page 21 of this thread, but here it is again with the remaining Republican contests with # of delegates at stake:

Tues, 5/3 IN - 57 (WTA) Open
Tues, 5/3 NE - 36 (???) Closed
Tue, 5/10 WV - 34 (???) Mixed
Tues, 5/17 OR - 28 (P) Closed
Tues, 5/24 WA - 44 (P) Closed
Tues, 6/7 CA - 172 (P) Mixed
Tues, 6/7 MT - 27 (WTA) Open
Tues, 6/7 NJ - 51 (WTA) Mixed
Tues, 6/7 NM - 24 (P) Closed
Tues, 6/7 SD - 29 (WTA) Closed

"Allocation...Republican primaries/caucuses are listed as Proportional (P), Winner-Take-All (WTA), or Winner-Take-Most (WTM).
Proportional – Delegates are awarded based on the percentage of the vote received by candidates, or some formulation of dividing up the delegates
Winner Take All – All delegates are given to the winner of the contest
Winner Take Most – Some delegates are reserved for the winner, some may be divided proportionally
Unbound – Delegates are not bound to a specific candidate and can support any candidate of their choosing, varies by state party."

Type
Open– Voters may vote in either party primary but can choose only one
Closed – Only voters registered in their respective party may vote in the party primary
Mixed – A semi-open or semi-closed environment, unaffiliated voters can choose to vote in either primary or can switch registration the day of voting"
http://www.uspresidentialelectionnews.c ... -calendar/

Now I only count 502 delegates there, and Politico's delegate tracker says 583 left, so not sure where the other 81 come from..Bottom line is we will have to wait 6 weeks for the 6/7 Super Tues for Trump to surpass 1237 (or not)

With Indiana being an open primary I think that helps Trump

Why was Fiorina singing at her intro?

You do not sing at veep intros. Even Joe Biden wasn't that awkward.

What an incredibly creepy pairing in Ted and Carly. There has to be some freakshow sex going on in private. Probably involving boogers.

I think if Trump wins Indiana & California keeps trending the way it is he'll get the delegate count he needs. If Indiana goes Cruz's way you're looking at a contested convention.

Either way Trump will just make it or just miss.

When specifically asked his opinions on Ted Cruz, Boehner made a face, drawing laughter from the crowd.
“Lucifer in the flesh,” the former speaker said. “I have Democrat friends and Republican friends. I get along with almost everyone, but I have never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch in my life.”
