Agreed. Cruz even called out other candidates to drop from the race if they were mathematically eliminated. And yet, he's still in at this point. I'd be ok with him staying in if these guys were still making each other debate issues, but that hasn't been the case with the GOP primary for a while now.

Trump was the will of the people. I know a party can nominate whoever it wants in whatever fashion, but I don't see how they could still justify giving anyone but Trump the nomination if they genuinely believe in the Party's principles. It is what it is.

the most ironic thing is that, if Cruz was more graceful, Trump would welcome him with open arms, who knows Trump still might even now, but I have a feeling that Cruz would rather continue to be the obstructionist leader of Congress.
Watch Rubio be the surprise at the convention and pledge support to Trump with his delegates, getting Trump across the finish line and him a spot in his cabinet. (It's the only card he has left to play, his political career in Florida is pretty much over)
Yup. Trump is the Nominee. It's time for him to pivot and start campaigning in the GE.

It will be truly sickening.
I don't know how historians will end up ranking him (I tend to lean that it'll be in the top half of Presidents), but I think as time passes and boomers die, he'll be remembered fondly. He has a 60%+ approval rating among millennials (who are now the largest US demographic) and minorities (who will become the majority in the 2040s). It's really boomers, who are the second largest demographic, that have dismissed his Presidency.

Kalm, I don't have a response to your question right now.
Boomers are still the largest demographic of US CITIZENS. With so called millenials its only if you include legal and illegal immigrants.

In terms of the economy the only thing Obama has to hang his hat on is the stock market.

-GDP growth under Obama has been abysmal. In 7 years in office avg 1.46%. Even if you throw out 2009 its only 2.1%.
http://useconomy.about.com/od/grossdome ... Growth.htm
Worst recession recovery in US history.

-Unemployment has been abysmal. The govt can claim that it is 5% only because millions have dropped out of the workforce. About 14 million more are out of the workforce under Obama beginning of this year compared to beginning of 09' (94+ million vs 80+ million). The labor force participation rate of 62+% is at a close to 40 year low..If it was the same as it was 8 years ago we would be looking at unemployment more than double what it is now. In addition, most of the jobs that have been created are lower paying.

-Obama's foreign policy has been a disaster. You could write books on that..

-Race relations have gotten worse under Obama.

Can't play the anti-establishment card and then go for Cruz or Kasich when they're PUBLICLY going full establishment...and you never go full establishment, man.

As for history's view of Obama, remember, it won't really be written until we're all dead and gone, and that includes boomers and millenials. Recent history is always distorted by people's own political views, and historians are no different in that regard. You get about 100 years away from the term in office and you start to get a more settled view of things. Regardless, he'll never be seen as a great President, nor as the worst. He's kinda average. He's like the type of Presidents we had in the 1850-1900 timeframe, Lincoln excluded. Those Presidents weren't particularly awful or particularly good. They were pretty unremarkable taken as a whole.

It's a really off-putting, and ultimately campaign-killing, trait of his. For all her faults, at least Clinton will openly discuss race. And I think she generally understands the issues more than Sanders.

Tripp...where do you get your talking points? :suspicious:

Sanders fought for equal rights while Hillary was helping Rupublicans (she said she was always a democrat...that is a lie).

Hillary, and her husband, helped put more super predators...er...Blacks in jail than ever before. She helped rip apart a generation of black families. Hillary previously criticized Obama's policies, plans, and actions...and many insiders say that Obama does not care too much for Hillary.

Hillary doesn't understand race issues more than Bernie...why don't you lay out the legislation that she has put forth to help Black people? :suspicious:

Hillary does have an understanding of how to manipulate Black people. That is true. She has some smart people working for her that tell her exactly what to say. Her people in her inner circle, mainly White, by the way, know exactly how dumb most Black voters are because Hillary's peeps know Bernie is the better candidate for minorities. The sales job of Hillary as the Black's best candidate is one of the biggest con jobs of all time. Hillary's people have used sound bites over substance, and easily pulled the wool over Black's people's eyes.

The interesting part is that Bernie was winning over the young college folks, including some Blacks. They, internet savvy, have done the research into Hillary's past. It is the older, less likely to do research, Black voters, mainly women, that told their people to get in line and vote for Hillary.

So yeah, you are part of the ignorant masses voter category. You fall for sound bites given to you by the establishment media.

Trump hates all Mexicans. Trump hates all Muslins and wants to ban them all. Trump is a racist. Bernie is an out of touch old man who hasn't done squat for minorities. Obama is great...he is doing a marvelous job...just ask those millions of refugees (has to be Bush's fault, right). Hillary knows minorities and likes them..and has fought hard for them. :dunce:

His "ghetto" comment is probably his largest one to date; the fact that he consistently treats Black Lives Matter as hecklers instead of a movement is another problem he's been blind to. In the times he's been confronted by minorities, he's either walked off, threatened to walk off, or become angry. It just comes off as dismissive to something that is obviously important to these people.
Comments? Jesus, you are a lemming.

Super Predator ring a bell? :suspicious:

And now, we're going to have positive gangs?

Seriously...Hillary suddenly has the antidote for gangs? She's a genius!!! Positive alternatives to gangs. Why didn't anyone else think of that?

Why do Blacks and other minorities join gangs? :suspicious: Hmmmm...as an alternative to family?

Gosh, what is wrong with the family those kids already have? What could possibly be enticing kids away from their family? So, what firm legislation has Hillary put forth to support her dynamic, ground breaking idea of positive gangs? :suspicious:

Hey, speaking of family values and violence, why are Hillary supporters saying Bernie is an NRA supporter?

She [Hillary] has increasingly sought to hit Democratic primary opponent Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) from the left on gun control. One of her supporters even accused Sanders of being a “wholly owned subsidiary” of the pro-gun rights National Rifle Association, despite his consistent support for gun control laws as a legislator.

Hey, why should Hillabots care about facts, Tripp? You apparently don't bother with them either. :dunce:

Here's what Hillary has over Bernie: a team of cut throat folks who are willing to lie their way to the Presidency, and the backing of the mega-rich who want to remain in control of the masses.

Congrats, Tripp, your ignorance, and your own inner bigotry, have allowed you to look like a fool parroting sound bites for Hillary. And you think she, and those who are responsible for those sound bites, are on your side.

I think 93 already said this but allow me reiterate:
Trump surged to more than 10 million votes, according to totals that include Tuesday’s preliminary results across the Northeast. That’s already about 250,000 more than Romney earned in the entire 2012 primary season and 153,000 more than John McCain earned in 2008.
More significantly, Trump is positioned to easily pass the modern record-holder, George W. Bush, who collected 10.8 million votes in 2000.
That presents an uncomfortable reality for anti-Trump forces: they’re attempting to thwart the candidate who is likely to win more Republican primary votes than any GOP contender in at least the last 36 years, and maybe ever.

Republican presidential candidate Cruz to pick Fiorina as running mate: report

https://www.yahoo.com/news/republican-p ... tml?ref=gs

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz is expected to announce former business executive Carly Fiorina will be his vice presidential running mate if he wins the party's nomination, ABC News affiliate WMUR reported, citing unnamed sources.

Cruz earlier on Wednesday said he would make a major announcement at 4 p.m. on Wednesday but gave no other details. Fiorina endorsed Cruz for the nomination in March, one month after dropping out of the presidential race herself.

What a momentous decision. We should cover other, similarly likely scenarios, like who the NBA Finals MVP for the Sixers should be next year or what should be the parade route for the Cleveland Browns next year and whether it's the best way to show their fans their Lombardi Trophy. :coffee:
