Scooping JSO- Trump

Post by Ibanez »

Trump is up:

Pennsylvania +19.4...polling at 45.8%
Maryland +14...polling at 41%
Connecticut +26...polling at 52.3%
Delaware +37 (poll from 4/18)...polling at 55%
Rhode Island +25.5...He's polling at 49.5%

Nationally he's up 12% with 42.3% to Cruz' 30.3 and Kasichs 22.3. :coffee:

Kasich leads Cruz in a few of those states.

We'll see how well Trump does tomorrow but we all know...he's your parties nominee. Embrace it. It'll help you during the revolution. :coffee:

Same old same old. The other candidates are splitting the anti Trump vote in the national poll. Trump is a weak front runner who is only the front runner because of the size of the field to start. He says Romney was weak but Romney got 52% of the vote during the 2012 Republican primaries. McCain got 53% of the vote in the 2008 Republican primaries. Right now Trump is at 38% of the popular vote.

Yes, more people have voted in the primaries than before. But the percentage is the percentage. A lot of people have voted for someone other than the front runner. He has not garnered the support of the majority of Republicans.

He can try, but I think there's a good chance that kind of thing will backfire on him in the general election. Yes, he will keep his zombies on board. But in the general election there's a good chance that the kind of vacant nonsense that Trump has been utilizing will be seen in a generally negative light.

Again...though...the chance for Trump is that Hillary could get nominated then get indicted. Either way the country is screwed. You either get Hillary or you get a totally unqualified mentally ill little kid as President.

Trump has his work cut out for him. If he can be "more presidential" (whatever the fuck that means) and drop the schoolyard bully shtick then he can certainly lure in Independents. He'll have to be on point with his quips (ie more factual and less childish) and has already shown he is immune to gaffs and proven the media has no idea how to contain him. He can kneecap hilldog on all of her MSM backed mantras (war on wimmin, defender of minorities, experienced statesman, fighter for equality, etc) if he does his homework and pushes the right buttons.

I know one thing though, he can certain do a hell of a better job against hilldog than that retarded zealot from canada.

Cruz will just talk about God and how evil Democrats are. The type of bullshit that doesn't resonate at all with Independents.

Cruz may get more of the GOP vote in the general, but that won't win an election.

Even if Trump acts more "presidential" and shifts toward the center to woo independents, he's still going to have a hard time convincing women to vote for him in large numbers. Hillary's supporters will bludgeon him over the head with his past history with women and that's a large bloc of the voters that will be predisposed to vote against him. He has a huge uphill fight in a general election.

Naw the war on wimmin is the easiest to dispel. He just needs to do his homework and be quick to use any of the following:
-How hilldog vehemently attacked Bill's sexual harassment accusuers
-The recent tapes surfacing about how as a lawyer in Ark she laughed about getting a child rapist off on a technicality
-The wide pay gap between male and female executives in the Clinton Foundation

I'm sure there are plenty more examples. I will admit that wimmin who are voting for hilldog because she is a wimmin will not be swayed by anything. Those are votes lost no matter what, but those femenazi's were likely voting donk no matter what.

There's a small group of feminists that aren't voting for Clinton and it's specifically for the reasons you've listed.

http://thefederalist.com/2016/03/11/wom ... g-hillary/
I’m part of the demographic that should poll well with Clinton. I’m a woman. I’m lower middle class. I grew up lower middle class, and my family has plenty of union ties. Many of my relatives are proudly blue-collar. I’m not a college graduate. Further, I’m a millennial.

Yet I don’t support Clinton.
Those feminists that are voting for Clinton because she's a woman, aren't acting on feminists ideology.

Agreed!

Not Mexican, but if you're ever in my neck of the woods, this place makes the best El Salvadorian food (close enough-ish). You know it's legit when all the immigrants are eating there: http://www.yelp.com/biz/cerritos-pupuseria-chantilly

And it's dirt cheap.

Nope. All the stuff you mentioned is played. And Trump's background of statements and actions, as I've said before, is a target rich environment. He'll get crushed on that issue among women in the general electorate. If he's the nominee he is going to lose by a huge margin among women. He may very well do something that neither McCain nor Romney did: Lose among White women.

Caveat: Everything changes if Hillary gets nominated then gets indicted or charged by the Justice Department.

The most interesting statement I saw in that article, given the title of this thread, is that Hillary lies repeatedly. The problem is that Trump is a more prolific liar than Hillary is. WAY more. Back to the Politifact thing. As of now, 13 percent of HIllary's rated Statements are rated as "False" or "Pants on Fire." 60 percent of Trump's are.

On the other end of the spectrum, 49 percent of HIllary's rated statements are rated as "True" or "Mostly True." Only 12 percent of Trump's are. There is no reasonable question as to who the more prolific liar is. It's Trump. And I fully expect the very sophisticated Democratic Party campaign machine to be effective in demonstrating that.
