I must admit that I looked it up because of just one thing the author, who was reported to be a liberal, reportedly wrote. I was listening to Buck Sexton on the radio as he described it. Looked it up and here is the part I was looking for:
After looking up the article In saw this one as well:Nothing is more confounding to the smug style than the fact that the average Republican is better educated and has a higher IQ than the average Democrat.
More stuff in there that is consistent with what I've always interpreted exit polling to suggest: The Democratic Party is the one that benefits most, by far, from voting among the least educated and informed. Republican voters are probably characterized by a higher average IQ than Democratic voters. There is some suggestion that Democrats have an edge among the highest IQ group...maybe the top 15 percent or sure...but there is some question about that as well. No question that the "ignorant voters" factor favors the Democrats. Most damning, perhaps, to the fancy liberal self-conception: Republicans score higher in susceptibility to persuasion. They are willing to change their minds more often.
And I say that in spite of what's going on with Trump right now.
