Not surprised all the Trumpers are silent after the ass whooping he took in Wisconsin. Trump needs about half of the remaining 882 delegates to get the nomination which I'm guessing is highly unlikely.

Looks like the wheels are finally falling off of the Trump train...about time.

So do you want Trump as the GOP candidate or a third party candidate? Take your pick. Regardless, no other Republican will be elected. So, regardless of semantics, Trump has locked up the GOP.

He's got to win the nomination outright (via the primaries). The conk establishment won't give it to him in a brokered convention. Hell, Cruz won't get it either. The brokered convention is a *wink *wink *nod *nod kind of a way around the super delegate system the donks have (ie it allows the establishment to go with their guy).

I'm cool with Trump running as an independent, anything that destroys the conk establishment (and party) is a good thing. If anything we learned from the last 6 years is that the conk part is a listless, incompetent group of elected officials that offers zero solutions to America's problems.

The GOP might want to rethink pissing off Trump. We will ruin their chances this election cycle if they steal his nomination, and he might just keep on running third party in 2020, 2024, etc if they piss him off enough.

He holds all the cards in this, and it's awesome to watch the Koch brothers flail hopelessly. Fuck them.

The "Paul rule" or rule 41 almost guarantees that no one other than Trump or Cruz can be nominated. You have to win at least 9 primaries to be considered. So Kasich is out as is anyone else they could pull from the ranks.

They could change the rule at the convention but the aforementioned two control the delegates who would vote on the change.

Establishment bitten on the ass by their own rules.

Cruz will most likely be your nominee.

Yep, Cruz (perhaps the only person in America less likable than Hillary and Trump) will get the nod and will get less than Trump in the general. Hillary may even win several red states with Trump and Cruz splitting the conservative vote.

Trump is not the reason conks are going to lose the WH, conks are the reason conks are going to lose the WH. They had an easy job to set up this election in their favor, and they failed miserably…so miserably in fact that Trump was able to swoop in and steal the show from the inept conks. It’s laughable.

Trumps guys won't vote for Cruz, and Cruz guys won't vote for Trump. That means somebody other than those 2 will get the nomination...unless of course there is some kind of compromise/deal and they become a ticket.

Cruz is completely un-electable. Only the fringe right (and "not Trump") people are voting for that guy now. In the general that whittles down to only the fringe right.

And now we're back to the believable conspiracy theory that Trump was a Clinton plant.

I don't care either way. This has been great entertainment.

Meh...Trump took home 6 delegates. New York is coming up.

And, even in Wisconsin...the Repub exit poll majority said that the candidate with the most delegates at the convention should get the nomination.

If Trump has the most, and the Repubs don't choose him, the Repubs are dead.

In the meantime, the Hillary wedded media continues to put up Democratic delegate totals that include Super delegates.

Hillary's lead is less than 250, but that's not what the Democratic establishment wants people to hear.

Now Hillary, and her followers, are saying that Bernie isn't a, "real Democrat."

Pure comedy from both establishments.

Go Bernie! Go Trump! :thumb:

:suspicious: Why the fuck does an exit poll matter or have any input in a brokered convention? If anything we are seeing the perfect example of why your vote doesn't matter on either side of the aisle.

And yes, I am cheering for alienated electorates as the outcome of this election. Trump getting snubbed will kill the conk establishment, and a bernie snub (if he can maintain his momentum) will kill the donk establishment. This is going to be great.

The establishment in Iowa killed the Iowa Straw Poll to clear the path for Jeb Bush because they knew he wouldn't do well in it. But it backfired in a huge way because instead of having it narrow the field down to maybe 4 or 5 and possibly even eliminate Trump before he got anywhere it left all the losers in to split the vote and give Trump time to get traction.
