Yeah, in hindsight, it was kinda gay. But it was, and still is, a fun sport to play, and a great workout.
So you never played before? Or just not competitively?
I'm thinking that would be difficult to just pick up a racquet and play varsity. The serve alone would take a lot of practice.
Before that summer, I think I played a few times here and there with my dad, but neither of us really knew what we were doing.

But we played damn near every day that summer, and quite a bit over the fall/winter at the local tennis bubble.

I knew this old guy with bad eyesight who went into a bar and grill for a beer and a burger. Only that the sign didn't say "bar and grill". It said "bra and girdle".

So what does FCS really stand for?

Hey Trip, you play, right? Let's meet halfway in St. Louie this weekend. Appletinis at Flaggy's place afterwards.

I do only wear a sports bra and short shorts though, so try to contain your boner.

I guess if you have any athletic coordination, that would be enough time to, at least, not embarrass yourself. :thumb:

Yeah...when she hits puberty and grows some tits, she might be a looker. Until then, she might as well be a 10-year old girl with a fake ID.

No thanks.

Your varsity team must have been pretty bad if you could make it after less than 1 year of playing.

It's not that big of a deal. I had a couple of buddies on the tennis team and played enough casual games with them after their practices and on weekends my junior year to where I could have played varsity as a senior as well. EWU stand out WR, Raul Vijil didn't play a down of football until his senior year (he was a socccer player) where he set an all time yardage record in the state championship game. He went on to have his number retired with the Spokane Shock (AFL).

I'm like Cgrad except it was golf and wrestling. I love seeing some of the same old "jock" school mates these day who use to flip me serious shit for playing golf as a 9th grader and who love the sport now.

Fortunately, I dropped the french horn in 7th grad and held on to a sliver of dignity.

It's okay, I realize you were only able to play fat guy sports (sport?).
Yeah. 6 varsity letters, 3 in football, three in lacrosse.
And then the four in college.

...but you're right. Keep your head up. T&F and tennis really impresses the chicks. Shocking, you weren't able to get into team sports.
"Elaine, you're from Baltimore, right?"
"Yes, well, Towson actually."
