Anyways, the latest article I read on the Christian Science Monitor says Trump has a 28% approval rating among GOP women...25% among the general electorate of women. That's pretty bad considering women make up more voters than men in the general election. But in this primary, more men have voted on the Republican side than women (which again, will not hold true in the general election).
You read the Christian Science Monitor? :suspicious:

Rubio's delegates are now unbound and can support whomever they choose. Also, with Rubio suspending his campaign rather than dropping out, he can still come back at the convention should The Donald not get the delegate majority required to win outright. If Rubio were to come back, he has the right to reclaim his delegates.
Based on what I heard on the radio on my drive home from work is that Trump needed both OH and FL to win the nomination. Since he didn't swing that, it means there will be an open convention...i.e. Trump will not be the nominee. However I do not know if that math assumed Rubio sticking it out until the end.

I've read it since high school. It's a great newspaper; there's only one religious piece a week which harkens back to the founder's request and the rest is fairly non-partisan stuff. They certainly don't shy away from anything the puts Christianity (or any religion) in a bad light.

To be honest, if her handlers are smart they will keep her from touching that. In fact, if she runs against Trump she won't HAVE to pull out the war on women tropes. She'll have enough other stuff to run with.

There are WAY too many landmines for her if she tries the war on women thing. Not the least of which is her notable case with the rape victim when she was a practicing attorney. Plus the whole Bill issue. I think her entire staff should be fired if they allow her to go that route.

I listened to all of Cruz's speech last night and I still can't get over how amazingly annoying he is. From the little half smile chuckle after EVERY SINGLE applause line, to the preachiness, to the truthiness.

At one point he sang the praises of the great one, talking about how he increased tax revenues by trillions of dollars and used that money to beat the soviets and end the cold war. :?

Hillary is going to win women...women are sexist. Very sexist. There are some fairly intelligent women around here that have said from the beginning that they were voting for the lying sack of shlt that is Hillary...and they admit she is a lying sack of shlt...but they think it is time for a woman president. :dunce:

Saw that same thinking in a local election...the candidate was a complete fool but the women wanted a woman on council. You could not talk about the issues...the women didn't care. They just wanted a woman in office.

Women don't think rationally. Seriously, who could vote for Hillary when everything she says is simply for consumption and not meant to be taken seriously. Funny thing...they say that about Trump, but don't care about Hillary doing it. And Hillary getting rich off the Wall Street speeches and her lies? Not a problem...she is one of their own. :dunce:

Hmmmmm....sounds familiar.

Hmm. Other sites are reporting he's doing better with women than any other GOP candidate.
Trump has won the biggest percentage of women's votes in 11 states, according to ABC News' exit polling data in the 15 state Republican primaries and caucuses so far this year.

This is how Republicans lose elections: Women are called sexist. Why not listen to what feminists have to say? Blacks are called thugs. Why not open a dialogue with Black Lives Matter? Hispanics are called rapists and criminals. Why not listen to their hopes and concerns? Muslims are called terrorists. Why not learn about the history of American-Muslims? The poor are called moochers. Why not try to understand the whole life story first?

The GOP has genuinely good ideas, but this stuff NEEDS to stop.

She's not going to win with women the way that Obama won with African American voters. It's not like 90% of women voters will vote for Hillary. Women are catty that way, some won't vote for her precisely because she is a woman. She'll win the gender vote, no doubt about it, but not by a landslide. And besides, there are millions of Republican women out there who would never vote for her. Women tilt towards the Democratic side of things in terms of voting, but not anything like the racial shift that showed up in the past two elections.

Agreed, how anyone could think that Cruz has a better chance than Trump must not be listening. Cruz speaks to a very small, core group of the GOP, and for most everyone else that's a very scary core group. Trump is too much of a buffoon and a media personality to really do anything other than put on a show as President - he's harmless compared to what Cruz could be.

You can't reason with someone that votes Hillary because we "need a woman president". The very same people who say electing a woman will change everything will be the same ones saying later rebuking people that a woman president doesn't mean sexism isn't still lurking behind every rock. The same thing happened with Obama and race.

If feminists bring a legitimate gripe then I'll listen. In other words, something besides the discredited pay gap and the idea that banning abortions beyond 20 weeks is like banning pap smears. I'm not entertaining those notions any more than liberals are entertaining the notions that Obama is a Kenyan Muslin Mujahideen.

Ditto with black lives matter. More black teens are killed by police than white teens? That doesn't prove there's any systematic devaluing of black life by police. Also, surveys about drug use don't prove the war on drugs has a racist bias when there's research showing blacks underreport drug use relative to whites and that there are things like concurrent charges that complicate the analysis.

Identity politics suck and completely derail any serious discussion of real issues in an election cycle. What you're saying is a lot like saying in 2004 "well, if the Democrats would share people's concerns about the queers getting joint checking accounts maybe they'd win the blue-collar Billy Bob vote".

Yes, it is from Oct, but I doubt it has changed that much. Clinton has a huge problem with men..

Here's what Jonah Goldberg says in National Review Online:

The truth is that politics is downstream of culture. And all of these politicians, Trump included, reflect deeper tendencies. Identity politics on the left and the right — from the war on so-called white supremacy to the bitterness of the white backlash — amount to what the French philosopher Julien Benda described as the “intellectual organization of political hatreds.” What’s remarkable about the violence Trump encourages isn’t its sudden appearance. It’s that it took this long.
