Well, pretty much like the article lays out, the decision to go negative on Trump 2 debates ago was DUMB. Totally backfired..

-In debate #7 on 2/6 from New Hampshire Rubio had his repeated robot response to Christie disaster.
-In debate #8 on 2/13 from SC. he bounced back with a very good debate. And up to that point he and Trump had played nice. He had left Bush and Cruz to get into the weeds with Trump.
-In debate #9 on 2/25 from Houston, after 0 wins in the 1st 3 contests, Rubio (well more like his advisors) made the stupid decision to go negative on Trump. They tried to out Trump Trump. DUMB. He sank in the polls and did even worse in the contests.
-In debate #10 from Detroit on 2/13. Then Rubio & advisors doubled down on their stupidity.

If Rubio hadn't gone negative on Trump I think he had a good shot to be Trumps VP pick. Can't see that happening now. Not with all the insults hurled between the two.
I can. Trump will give him an office in the basement next to the janitor's bathroom and have him make coffee for the staff meetings. "Boy, I have to address Congress tomorrow - see that my blue suit is pressed. And don't screw up."

And while we're on the subject, the last 2 black men to run for POTUS as Republicans have been dull and monotone. It's interesting.

Anyway, Hannity, Beck and Limbaugh are dancing around the candidates and talking out both sides of their mouths. They put down Trump and then praise him when a caller says something that they themselves just said. Limbaugh is the only one that refuses to endorse anyone for the simple fact that he doesn't want to explain himself when the person he endorses screw up. They agree that Mittens screwed up in 2012 and again with his Anti-Trump speech. It's very interesting.

The people of Florida should vote Marco out of office. He wasn't sent there to campaign for the White House.

Former presidential candidate Ben Carson will endorse Donald Trump, the real estate mogul said Thursday during the GOP presidential debate hosted by CNN, handing Trump an important boost heading into next week's "Super Tuesday 3."

Gotta love how Trump always schedules his endorsement briefings the morning after debates. Win or lose, the press has to cover him exclusively the next morning. It's masterful. Don't think for a minute this guy doesn't know what he's doing. That's been everyone's mistake in this whole election cycle.

Trump is masterfully playing the media to his advantage. The RNC has been made a fool of and now they have the other candidates backing Trump. Heck, there were reports yesterday that Bush was going to endorse The Donald. It's comical.

Indeed. Trump may be a buffoon, but he's really just a personality, he doesn't have a real ideology behind him other than he thinks his personality and knowledge of how to get things done will actually get things done. Cruz on the other hand couldn't be any more of an ideological zealot, and zealots, as a general rule of thumb, should be avoided at all costs. :thumb:

No, but she'd be better at protecting my job. You don't hear her babbling that crazy talk about slashing 75% of federal employees, slashing pay, and neutering benefits.

I squarely blame Cruz for the last furlough and shutdown. Fuck him.

I squarely blame Cruz for the last furlough and shutdown. **** him.
-You mean the last 2013 partial govt shutdown that was an unscheduled paid vacation for those who got furloughed?

-A lot of conks in 2012 campaigned and won on promises of defunding Obamcare. Then when they get into office Obama threatens to veto any bill that defunds Obamacare. So then there is a Mexican standoff, and the weak conks blink and go back on their campaign promises. But not Cruz. He campaigned on defunding Obamacare, and he kept that campaign promise to the best of his ability. And that shutdown was just as much on Obama for refusing to sign any bill that didn't fund Obamacare..We need MORE people who stick to their campaign promises and principles, and less of those who make promises on the campaign trail then ignore those promises when they get into office.
