Clearly the smartest of the bunch by a wide margin.

He's even slapped down Fox News
and the only way you can do that as a Republican is to truly not give a f**k
I'm starting to believe he really doesn't give a f**k...
It's refreshing as hell

Yep. People on both sides are taking him way to seriously.CID1990 wrote:there are a lot of people who I otherwise consider to be bright and thoughtful (quite a few of them are colleagues and smarty pants Ivy Leaguers) who are up in arms about Trump- that he really is Mussolini or Hitler who will lead us into a world war or exterminate people based on raceChizzang wrote:

its refreshing to see you might just think he's little more than a buffoon whose worst damage will be to write "Trump" across the front of the White House in neon

I think he is more surprised than anybody that he's still around. Everything from here on is gravy and he doesn't even have to pay for most of the attention he's getting. He knew conks were hand pick for being dumb squats but he had no idea.....Chizzang wrote:He has masterfully handled this whole thing...93henfan wrote:

I recall Trump referring to illegal immigrants as "illegals" during the debate and I chuckled. Not sure why that term is bad, because it shouldn't be.BDKJMU wrote:No one comments on the obvious liberal bias of CNN. I lost count of how many times when referring to illegal immigrants instead of correctly referring to them as illegal immigrants they incorrectly referred to them as undocumented immigrants. How come libtards always refer to them as undocumented immigrants? I find it amazing that virtually 100% of libtards don't really that most of these illegal immigrants have documents. Either fraudulent documents, or valid documents fraudulently obtained. If someone has documents they are not undocumented. Duh.

Speaking of that. I mean just look at that picture. Is it not pretty darned surreal that there is actually a substantial number of people who are supporting that guy to be President of the United States? I mean really. Just look at that.Ivytalk wrote:Get rid of the **** obnoxious siggy.93henfan wrote:Reports on some of the lunatic fringe sites (who sometimes prove more correct than the MSM) that the Koch's are dumping millions into Rubio for Florida and if he loses there then they might dust off Mitt.

There's nothing going on in this country, but there is something going on with the GOP. We're about to have a left-leaning Democrat face off against...a left-leaning Republican. The GOP is seriously about to nominate a Democrat in Republican clothing and they don't even seem to notice. It's ridiculous, but kinda sad.JohnStOnge wrote:Speaking of that. What the HELL is going on in this country?

Democrats aren't going to be mobilized to go to the polls to near the levels they were for Obama..∞∞∞ wrote:There's nothing going on in this country, but there is something going on with the GOP. Regardless, the Dems are licking their chops. Their mobilization to get voters out is going to be insane.
That's fine, but it's going to be a strong effort regardless, especially to get minority voters and independents out. Against Trump, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to absolutely destroy the competition and build momentum for years to come. As much of a pivotal moment as it is for Republicans, it's as much of a pivotal moment for the Democrats.BDKJMU wrote:Democrats aren't going to be mobilized to go to the polls to near the levels they were for Obama..∞∞∞ wrote:

Solid analysis, there Trip. You have a good head on your shoulders.∞∞∞ wrote:That's fine, but it's going to be a strong effort regardless, especially to get minority voters and independents out. You take out Trump, then paint every GOP member who endorsed him or have/will hop on his train in a brutally negative way. The Dems won't get the House back (I think), but can certainly win back seats, win the Senate, and shape the Supreme Court/judicial system for years to come.

Donks have been trying to paint conks in a brutally negative way for eons. That is nothing new..It won't work any better or worse than before...∞∞∞ wrote:That's fine, but it's going to be a strong effort regardless, especially to get minority voters and independents out. It could with independents. And truth is, if the animosity is deep, people will turn out to vote against someone as much as for someone they like. Trump, by far, has the worst ratings for any candidate among independents and Democrats. And it's relatively high among Republicans too.BDKJMU wrote:Donks have been trying to paint conks in a brutally negative way for eons. This why Bernie will do better than Hillary in the general.∞∞∞ wrote:It could with independents. The Dems will seize upon that; a general election is going to be a completely different animal than the primaries. Trump will have to face an already uphill battle against his unfavorable ratings...without moving so center that he alienates his base. He won't be able to tout the "self-funding" claim anymore 'cause he's gonna need help from the GOP's coffers. He's gonna need to unite and mobilize a divided Republican party and get them to the polls. He'll have to debate one of the best political debaters on actual issues in front of a diverse demographic of people (again, without alienating his base). He's going to have to explain Trump University and swindling people out of money, his failed business ventures, cheating on his first wife, the liberal leanings he's had throughout his life (until now of course), his past friendship with a plethora of Democrats, and all his questionable comments.
It's anecdotal, but I work with mostly conservatives, all highly educated and upper-middle class. All but one would vote for Trump. That's a loss of potential campaign donations and more importantly, votes.

Has there been a candidate like Trump that has offered up so many possibilities on how to do this?BDKJMU wrote:Donks have been trying to paint conks in a brutally negative way for eons. That is nothing new..It won't work any better or worse than before...∞∞∞ wrote:

Clinton also has high negatives- historically high for the donk nominee. What will her negative ratings look like after six months of Donald Trump every day finding new ways to insult her? She's an establishment candidate running against an anti establishment candidate in an election where anti establishment anger is at a level where we have never seen it before.∞∞∞ wrote:It could with independents.
