Montana State AGAIN has the greatest football class EVER RECRUITED!!!
We beat out teams like Alabama, LSU, and Michigan for most of our recruits ( is it really considered beating them out, when you have everything the Cats have?)...Sure, the Cats have struggled on the field the last couple years, but that is because we have so much talent, that we sometimes try to hard to get all 98 5 star players on the field in every game.
And sure, some of you will say " SACCAT, I just looked at your recruits, and none of them show that they are 5 star players". this is answered simply by saying...East Coast, West Coast, Southern and South West Bias. I also blame ESPN for making these ranking sites drop anyone that goes against their agenda. Mark my words, in 3 years you will all be saying "Wow, that kid from that class that went to that school sure did well on the football field."

Re: 2016 National Signing Day
The most interesting thing about McNeese's signing class is that they signed Ed Orgeron's two twin sons. Ed Orgeron's been knocking around big time college football for a while. He was head coach at Ole Miss for a while and was interim head coach at Southern Cal when the head coach got fired. Has a big reputation as a recruiter and as a defensive line coach.
One son is a wide receiver and the other a quarterback. The wide receiver is the more highly regarded recruit but the quarterback did pretty well as it was his first year playing football. In the past he'd been a State champion tennis player of all things.

So… is it safe to say the Bobcats have kept alive their NDSU-like streak of preseason championships?

2016 PORTLAND STATE NATIONAL LETTER OF INTENT SIGNEES
Portland state signed 16 student athletes (10 on defense, 6 on offense --13 freshmen and 3 transfers). Coach Barnum is extremely high on these guys. He said that he wanted the tough student athletes, no "pretty boys" or "Hollywoods." For linebackers, he said AJ Schlatter was the model for the student athletes he wanted to recruit. But he is really happy to get Davis Alexander out of Gig Harbor Washington (said he committed the day PSU announced Barnum's 5 yr contract).

Stitt may be a flashy spread guy, but it's good to see that he "gets it" in terms of where championships are won.JohnStOnge wrote:For what it's worth here is a FCS top 30 recruiting classes list posted by Zem on the Geauxcowboys.org site:

This is the best O-line group in the nation, edging out North Dakota State's impressive group.

And this should make dback all the more salty about the annual beatdown of his Jacks.
Coach Bob Stitt and his staff packed the Griz class to the gills with impressive players--mining the state of Arizona particularly well.
Re: 2016 National Signing Day
Hmmmm..... one Griz win in the last three games vs. NAU. Sounds annual to me.Grizalltheway wrote:And this should make dback all the more salty about the annual beatdown of his Jacks.![]()
The previous 15 years, yeah, I'll give the Griz that much. That was an annual thing. But the BIg Sky conference is now more than a one team race. EWU, Portland State, NAU and UND seem to becoming more competitive. MSU had a down year but I don't see them completely slouching off either.
I think Stitt will do just fine but I don't see him turning Missoula into Tuscaloosa North or Fargo West yet.

McNeese gets the award for the most unimposing-looking signee:

That's back when he was a tennis player. He won a State championship in that sport. Decided to drop tennis after winning State and try football. In his first and only year playing high school football he threw for 2,257 yards and 27 touchdowns while fashioning a 64 percent completion rate on a team that got to the second round of the Louisiana AAAAA playoffs. Kind of an interesting sign, I think.
