Will somebody get the word on Trump's history out to Evangelicals? And if they do, will it register? An interesting article:

If elected, Trump would be the first president to:

Be married three times to different women, leaving each for the next woman.
Be proud of his sexually liberalities, openly stating in his book "Think Big: Make it Happen in Business and Life" that he has had sex with with some of the "top women in the world."
Build and own casinos, including the first American casino ever to have a strip club that allows lap dancing and an all-male revue club for women.
Regularly use the f-word in public speeches along with other obscenities so vulgar network television would be required to bleep out these words to avoid violating Federal Communications Commission rules.
State publicly that he has never asked for God's (or anyone else's), forgiveness and that he doesn't forgive.
Have said about his daughter on that "if Ivanka were not my daughter, I would be dating her."
Give America a first lady who has posed in the nude.
Use bankruptcy laws four times for failed business dealings.
Openly advocate for revenge, "as viciously and as violently as you can."
Publicly call various women "dogs," "fat and ugly," "piece of a--," "pigs," "bitch," ("TrumpNation: The Art of Being The Donald," 2005) and said you "have to treat em like sh--."

All of it is well referenced. The population of this forum might be fine with all of that. But Evangelicals? Is somebody going to make an effort to make sure Evangelicals know all this stuff?

I think the answer is "yes." If his Republican opponents don't and he makes the general election, the Democrats will. Book it.

The hope is that SOMEBODY will make use of his history to erode support for him among Evangelical Christians. As I said, if somebody among the Republicans doesn't do it the Democrats certainly will. Wouldn't take much suppression of White Evangelical turnout at all to make big difference in the general election.

Not at all. I'd vote for Christie, for instance, if he got the nomination without hesitation. Not my favorite but I would. I thought about that today as I was watching a telecast of him talking to the press about the winter storm response. Obvious great command of the situation and what was going on. Inspired a lot of confidence that he was managing the situation well. Thought to myself of how overwhelmed that buffoon Trump would be in a situation like that. I don't like that Christie sucked up to Obama right before the last Presidential election but at the same time I agree with him on most of the big issues and I have complete confidence in his ability to do the job well.

BTW Christie was wearing a University of Delaware jacket during the telecast. Watch the video at this link and you can see that the guy is qualified to be President:

Yes I know but that doesn't matter. Someone just needs to get the word out that he built a strip club and/or built Casinos and there will be White Evangelical Christian voters who normally vote Republican who absolutely will not vote for him. I know you don't doubt any more than I do that the Democrats know that and will seek to exploit it if Trump does get to the general election. And the White Evangelical Christian vote might be more important to the Republicans than the Black vote is to the Democrats.

As I said before: If he gets to the general election his background and past behavior comprise a target rich environment for the Democrats. This is just one aspect of it.

I live in a blue state, so my vote is meaningless. I prefer anyone but Hillary Clinton. I guess polls say Rubio has the best chance against her head to head, but he doesn't look like the strong leader like Christie. Christie stands no chance because of Bridgegate and because he was genuinely appreciative of Obama's assistance and concern after Hurricane Sandy. Somewhere along the line, it became unacceptable to ultraconservatives for a Republican candidate to work in bipartisan fashion, and that is what is going to destroy the Republican Party. Evangelicals fit right in to that narrow-minded idiocy. If Reagan were around today, he couldn't get the nomination, because he was willing to work with Democrats to make things happen.

I truly do believe he has conspired with the Clintons. What else could it be? It's the only way to explain his behavior. He's a smart guy. He knows most of what he is saying is bullshit. I think the damage that will come of this is that he has really lowered the bar for acceptable behavior by a candidate for President.

I mean, if somebody in 1986 were able to see footage of this 30-years-in-the-future election, they would absolutely have to believe it was fiction.
