ANDY TALLEY

Post by vutomcat »

SAD DAY- CLASS ACT!

2016 will be Villanova head coach Andy Talley's last season on the Wildcats' sidelines.

According to multiple reports, Talley, 72, will step down at a press conference Wednesday. According to Philly.com, assistant coach Mark Ferrante will be named Talley's successor.

Talley has a career record of 249-152. He's currently the winningest active coach in the FBS and FCS ranks. Villanova plays in FCS and is a member of the Colonial Athletic Association.

Talley has been the coach at Villanova since the program brought football back in 1985. Before he joined the Wildcats he was the coach at St. Lawrence from 1979-1983.

The Wildcats were 6-5 in 2015, a year after going 11-3 and making the FCS quarterfinals. VIllanova won the 2009 FCS Championship with a 14-1 record.

it has to be respect, maybe begrudgingly.

Both Delaware (Tubby and KC) and Nova have been very lucky with their coaches, until recently, of course. Hopefully for the Cats Ferrante turns out to be more KC than Brock.
