JSO, defend this piece of shit all you want... it's a piece of shit "rankings" that have no basis in reality.JohnStOnge wrote:What I mean,Hen, is that the "impressiveness" of the stadium itself is not in and of itself a factor.
Makes me think of St. Amant High School in Louisiana. If you're looking for an impressive stadium by high school standards it's not the place. It's got the light poles with old style incandescent lights actually in FRONT of the stands. Old as hell. But if you're looking for an experience...well...it's fantastic. It's like being in some kind of swamp beast horror novel. And the jambalaya...OMGosh. You can do better there than you could do going to the fanciest restaurant in New Orleans.

Good call on Princeton, 89. I remember when the plans were first announced I was amazed that Princeton would build something that nice, and it looks even better complete.

This isn't an architectural ranking of stadiums, Hen. It's a ranking of the game day experience at said stadiums. It's right there in the title.

Well, maybe not major. Wiki does say "renovated" 1993.93henfan wrote:UD had a major renovation in 1993? That's news to me.

I guess it was the shitty scoreboard we got before the HD one we finally got about ten years ago, plus a new drainage and irrigation system for our old natural turf.BDKJMU wrote:Well, maybe not major. Meh, the description of the "methodology" indicates that the stadium itself is a part of if. I don't know why you'd defend this ranking. It sucks. Georgetown's ranking alone renders it completely invalid. The stadium sucks. The concessions are non-existent. Parking sucks. Attendance sucks. Team sucks. NO atmosphere.Grizalltheway wrote:This isn't an architectural ranking of stadiums, Hen. It's a ranking of the game day experience at said stadiums. It's right there in the title.
