Im just lazy and I type with one thumb - punctuation and complete sentences are just sacrificial lambs
i do like to put white space in my posts though
its a good way of breaking things up without using periods an stuff

I think you've read too much about him on Kos. He wasn't down on them, he gave his opinion on why they wouldn't work and it made a lot of sense.kalm wrote:An establishment democratic hack is down on third parties?89Hen wrote:Was at a chamber of commerce breakfast today and Chris Cillizza was a guest speaker. Yup, probably the biggest reason why we always seem to gravitate towards two parties. The size of the individual umbrellas of both parties is generally why a third party never lasts for long.dbackjon wrote:89Hen wrote: I think you've read too much about him on Kos. Are there any good ideas that truly are new ideas? More specifically, any "good" ideas that would actually get a serious look? Probably not. An even if there was, the idea could still be classified as a conservative or liberal idea.dbackjon wrote:89Hen wrote: I think you've read too much about him on Kos. This guy's point was that VERY few people are truly independent and I agree with that. Just because you don't vote straight ticket or register for a party, that doesn't make you an independent. If a third party or a candidate was EXACTLY spot on with YOUR thinking, that means they would be repulsive to an awful lot of people... more than agree with you.

I wonder if more people truly identify WITH a party and what it stands for or against the opposing party?89Hen wrote:Are there any good ideas that truly are new ideas? Regardless, we really don't even have two parties at this point.
The whole idea of parties is becoming less and less appealing as I become more and more cynical.

It's not appealing to me either, but it's the world in which we live and it's going to be REALLY hard to change that. People want what's easy (look at us and cable) and will complain and complain, but when push comes to shove... meh.kalm wrote:I wonder if more people truly identify WITH a party and what it stands for or against the opposing party?89Hen wrote: Are there any good ideas that truly are new ideas? BTW, there's a lot of truth to that.kalm wrote:I wonder if more people truly identify WITH a party and what it stands for or against the opposing party?
