Ok I guess we're about to swerve completely off topic but I'll answer. Not really looking at it in terms of whether or not it is "smart" for an individual to vote a certain way based on self-interest. Actually when I've talked/written about that in the past it's least educated and also lower IQ voter. To some extent those things coincide. Not entirely but to some extent. I'm using that convention again where you define above average as those more than one standard deviation above the mean, average as within + or - one standard deviation of the mean, and below average as more than one standard deviation below the mean. When you look at things in those terms I think exit polling strongly suggests the Democratic Party gets the overwhelming majority of the vote among those below the average range of IQ. The bottom 16 percent in terms of intelligence.Depends on how you define an ignorant vote. If it's voting your own self interest (which I believe many successful Republican voters do) than if your poor, isn't a vote for the Democratic Party smarter?
But this Trump thing really gives those who say Republican voters are stupid some ammunition.
