Last year, it was Vernon Adams. This winter, another gifted dual-threat QB from the Big Sky Conference could be transferring up to the FBS level and joining a powerhouse program.
Montana State's Dakota Prukop — a 6-foot-2, 210-pounder who is expected to graduate this month and will be eligible to transfer and play immediately in 2016 — is primed to become a hot commodity. MSU is going through a coaching transition with new coach Jeff Choate taking over, and Tim Cramsey, the Bobcats' OC — and a guy Prukop has a great relationship with — did not get retained.

Dakota will probably go elsewhere...no chance for a playoff win at MSU.dbackjon wrote:http://www.foxsports.com/college-footba ... sey-120815

Oregon, TCU, Texas, and now Michigan are interested in him.

That kid will get KILLED if he plays in the Big 12. And Kyle Allen is transferring from A&M. He's light years ahead of Prukop in the talent department. As is Trevor Knight, who just got his unconditional release from Oklahoma to seek employment elsewhere.SACCAT wrote:Oregon, TCU, Texas, and now Michigan are interested in him.

What does Kyle Allen transferring due to getting beaten out by Kyler Murray have anything to do with whether Prukop can win a QB battle at Texas or TCU?AZGrizFan wrote:That kid will get KILLED if he plays in the Big 12. Why would he get killed playing in the Big 12? Do they play defense or something?AZGrizFan wrote:That kid will get KILLED if he plays in the Big 12. And Kyle Allen is transferring from A&M. VA eventually held up OK against solid defenses in UW and Stanford and Prukop is bigger.

His accuracy is—to be generous—spotty, though, so he's unlikely to start for a P5 team.kalm wrote:Why would he get killed playing in the Big 12? Do they play defense or something?AZGrizFan wrote:

Re: Prukop eyes FBS Transfer
I guess we will all just have to see what happens....I wish him the best in whatever direction he goes, and feel that if he thinks he can start at a P5 school, then he should give it a shot. No matter what happens, he is leaving with a degree in Economics from MSU, and gave Cats fans two years of fun football to watch.
Good luck to him.
Good luck to him.

Maybe Kyle Allen will end up at MSU????AZGrizFan wrote:That kid will get KILLED if he plays in the Big 12. And Kyle Allen is transferring from A&M. Re: Prukop eyes FBS Transfer
Before we played MSU, Coach Barnum said Prukop looked so big and strong, he looked like a QB, whereas compared to Prukop, our QB, Alex Kuresa looked like a drowned rat.

No way. Why would he turn down the Panthers and Patriots to play for Bama?SACCAT wrote:Prukop heading to Alabama tonight. Between the Tide and Oregon now.

Re: Prukop eyes FBS Transfer
Well that would be about a 10 fold step up in talent for MSU, that's for sure.SACCAT wrote:Maybe Kyle Allen will end up at MSU????AZGrizFan wrote:

Re: Prukop eyes FBS Transfer
Apparently either Oregon thought Mariotta was going to be there for 10 years, or their recruitment of QB's the past 3-4 years has absolutely SUCKED. Two years in a ROW to go get a BSC QB to rescue them?JALMOND wrote:Going to Oregon to be a Duck, courtesy of Oregon Live

Adams starting for them is one thing, but they're in trouble if Prukop does the same.AZGrizFan wrote:Apparently either Oregon thought Mariotta was going to be there for 10 years, or their recruitment of QB's the past 3-4 years has absolutely SUCKED. Alabama, Michigan, Texas, Oregon offered him. Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Washington, were all interested as well.kalm wrote:Didn't Alabama and Texas offer him too?Mvemjsunpx wrote:

Re: Prukop eyes FBS Transfer
His passing accuracy isn't good enough to be a consistent dual threat at that level. We saw that a bit in MSU's games against NoDak and UM.kalm wrote:Didn't Alabama and Texas offer him too?Mvemjsunpx wrote:

Re: Prukop eyes FBS Transfer
Guess we will all see....He is now a Pac-12 QB, and will get a shot to be the starter. Really, that is what he wanted, and now he has it. Good Luck to him, and I will be rooting for him to do great.Mvemjsunpx wrote:His passing accuracy isn't good enough to be a consistent dual threat at that level.
