Our former DC, Clayton Carlin, left last week. Good Riddance. The guy was terrible.

I'm afraid they may go after ours. #1 or 2 statistical defense in FCS. He's a former HS coach in Columbia so he has in state ties for recruiting. CCU offers a chance to be FBS in 2 years also.Ibanez wrote:Our former DC, Clayton Carlin, left last week. Good Riddance. The guy was terrible.

Hope not. But I'd bet CSUs DC is on their initial list of top 10 names. Especially considering Georgia Southern is one of the top contenders in the Sun Belt and our guy has proven he can destroy the option offense.

Re: CCUs DC Search
I should know this, but is CCU now done playing I-AA football or do they have one more year?

Re: CCUs DC Search
I wouldn't be surprised if CCU lures someone away from Charleston So. And if Mo leaves, it wouldn't shock me if Chadwell was thrown into the discussion.bucs90 wrote:I'm afraid they may go after ours. #1 or 2 statistical defense in FCS. I'm hoping we hold on to him another year. It's inevitable he leaves. Hoping CSU offers our current DC the HC-in-waiting deal and he takes it over when Chadwell leaves.Ibanez wrote:I wouldn't be surprised if CCU lures someone away from Charleston So. Re: CCUs DC Search
If it is like App, they have one more year left at FCS. But they aren't eligible for the playoffs next year, or a Bowl in the first year at FBS.89Hen wrote:I should know this, but is CCU now done playing I-AA football or do they have one more year?

We'll be in the FCS next year but ineligible for the playoffs.89Hen wrote:I should know this, but is CCU now done playing I-AA football or do they have one more year?

Re: CCUs DC Search
Will they be eligible for the championship? I know they can't get the auto bid but if CCU was unbeaten in the BSC would the 2nd place team be the official champion or just be who gets the auto bid?Ibanez wrote:We'll be in the FCS next year but ineligible for the playoffs.89Hen wrote:I should know this, but is CCU now done playing I-AA football or do they have one more year?

Oh shit. I thought you were searching for jobs in DC. I was going to recommend not doing it.

No, but I may be searching for jobs in the Charlotte-metro area in the coming months. I'll leave that for the 2016 Forecast thread.

Re: CCUs DC Search
Yeah. Just wondering say if it finished next year as CCU 6-0, Liberty 5-1 and CSU 4-2...would LU get the auto bid but not the BSC trophy, or do CCUs wins just not count in conference standings at all?Ibanez wrote:Conference championship?bucs90 wrote:
