I agree with the OP.

One of the few things I agree with Trump on is the extent that political correctness is doing much more damage than good. Everyone's head is on a swivel waiting on someone to make a gaffe or say something marginally inappropriate and then jump on them like hyenas.

Some kids with no work experience living and being educated in some liberal bastion like most universities seem to have this civic duty to point out the wrong even if it means the end of a 30 year life's work for someone. Very few people can live up to making social commentary and not having it construed as something offensive by someone at some point in time. Rather than talking through it, they organize a protest and invite the media so they can put the offender's head on a pike and parade it out of town with their pitchforks and torches blazing.

My problem would be that I would want to step on EVERYONE's toes. Most of today's pussies can't take it, so they whine and cry and throw fits and protest. I've long recognized that the logical extension of BOTH political extremes leads to authoritarianism. Ideological purity and political correctness are dangerous things and you see a search for these on BOTH sides.
