Best Performance: (#9) McNeese St. 27, (#7) Sam Houston St. 10 - Daniel Sams again had a bad day throwing, but his 164 rushing yards and a huge team advantage in penalties made that irrelevant as the Cowboys clinched the Southland auto-bid.

Worst Performance: Lamar 28, Nicholls St. 30 - Kade Harrington had another field day, and yet the Cardinals were still somehow outrushed by lousy Nicholls.

Most Surprising Result: Nicholls St. 30, Lamar 28 - The Colonels will finish with multiple Southland wins for the first time since 2010.

Most Surprising Result: Western Illinois 7, (#6) North Dakota St. 59 - The Leathernecks phoned in their season a week early, it seems. :?

OVC

JAXST 24-3 EIU

Most Surprising Result: (#18) Eastern Kentucky 35, Tennessee-Martin 42 - The Colonels forced 4 interceptions and led by double digits at the end of the third quarter… and still blew it.

Eh, while that is a large disparity, CP putting up lots of rushing yards is nothing new (70 of which came on a rush late in the game). The Hornets true FR QB put up 335 yards of passing.

davis’ horrendous performance at Weber gets my vote for “worst performance". A large chunk of davis’174 yards came on their final drive in garbage time (an 81 yard drive, 0 points, to close the game) while they gave up 479 yards. :twocents:

Still, Weber is doing better than Cal Poly and the margins were similar.

:? Hornets lost total yards by 66. davis by 305. Considering CP put up 535 rushing yards 2 weeks ago compared to 366 last week, I'm not sure I follow.

Uh… point margin?

Davis held Weber to 1 touchdown in 6 redzone trips, so that's worth something.

Compared to 2 red zone trips of their own, 1 of which wasn't obtained until the last play of the game. Hornets lost on 2 redzone trips (4 total) due to blocked/missed FGs.

Does this really matter that much to you? :? ;)

It's a close call, but Sac lost by 22 to a 2-6 team while Davis lost by 20 to a 4-5 team. Yes, CP has played a brutal schedule, but still…

Wasn't saying anything about that, just when I think "worst performance" I think a total no show (93 total offensive yards late in the 4th qtr) would qualify atop the list instead of a team that moves the ball but just gets beat by the better team. The Hornets and phaggies suck really bad, I was never implying otherwise, imo the Hornets just sucked less last week.

OK, fair enough. I think the allowing 1 TD in 6 redzone trips goes against the "no show" argument, though, at least in terms of Davis's defense.

Fair enough. I watched some of this game (late 3rd qtr and beyond). WSU seemed to know davis wasn't going to get anything going on offense and kind of sleepwalked through the rest of the game when they had the ball. Hell Weebs even gave davis some great field position via muffed punts and still only gave up 3 points.
