My first thought when I read the original post was confirmed by the end of the article:

So REI gets the good PR for letting almost all of their employees take the day off plus they still make the bucks with online sales.

It is over-priced and I rarely buy something there but they do many good things as an organization. Glad they're successful.

Check BH Photo or Adorama, the two big Jewish-owned tech websites in NYC. You cannot order from sundown Fri to sundown Sat on a weekly basis, nor on any Jew holiday. They were just closed a week for Sukkot, whatever the fuck that is. This in addition to Yummy Kippers, Rosh Corned Beef Hashana, Passover, etc.
