The Redskins haven't gone that many seasons in a row without making the playoffs since the 60's

And it's a KC- Toronto ALCS! The TV ratings should skyrocket for this series.
Seriously, it should be great baseball!
I pick KC in 7.

Yeah the MLB is happy with whatever NL matchup they get with Chicago versus either New York or LA. KC-Toronto will hurt for ratings though would Texas-Houston been any better except for in Texas?.Ivytalk wrote:And it's a KC- Toronto ALCS! The TV ratings should skyrocket for this series.![]()

I'm guessing that the Mets would be a better draw.tribe_pride wrote:Yeah the MLB is happy with whatever NL matchup they get with Chicago versus either New York or LA. In NY, the Yankee fans will tune in and root for the Mets to lose. In LA, the Angel fans will not watch the Dodgers, even if they are losing.

Nah, the Dodgers get a much better national number - the Mets will bring in the NY market but that market is already pretty good baseball-wise so they'll get it regardless. Dodgers are a much better brand in terms of national interest.CAA Flagship wrote:I'm guessing that the Mets would be a better draw.tribe_pride wrote:

Regardless, I'm pulling for the Cubs, and if not them then the Royals. Can't ever root for a NY team, Toronto's turning me off lately (didn't care for the epic bat toss and stare down), and while I like Utley and Rollins, they aren't really contributing much to the effort to care enough about LA.
On another note, amazing how fans can throw crap onto the field in cities other than Philadelphia yet again and again, rather than being castigized, those fans in Toronto were hailed for their "enthusiasm" and "spirit". Double standard is noted.

Just one bat toss in a long line of bat tosses. Here is a classic Rickey Henderson.GannonFan wrote:Can't ever root for a NY team, Toronto's turning me off lately (didn't care for the epic bat toss and stare down), and while I like Utley and Rollins, they aren't really contributing much to the effort to care enough about LA.

You're turned off by a bat flip, but not by a dude breaking someone's leg? I'm not a fan of a bat flip or long stare from home plate, but that one gets a pass from me because of the circumstances.

I don't give a damn about TV ratings.Ivytalk wrote:And it's a KC- Toronto ALCS! The TV ratings should skyrocket for this series.![]()

Should be a fun series though. Both teams have momentum coming in. KC pulled it out of their ass in Houston in the 8th inning the other day, then held at home. Toronto goes down 2 games at home in a 5 game series, and finally wins. I'm going Toronto in 7. (Mostly because the they gave the Tigers 3 potentially good pitchers in exchange for David Price).

Re: 2015 MLB Playoffs
The funny thing is that nobody on the Dodgers organization knows who should have been covering third base. When asked, they kept answering with probably the SS but nobody is really positive. If you are going to do the shift, you really need to figure this out beforehand.CAA Flagship wrote:I really hate the "shift". And it wasn't the first time in the series third base wasn't covered
